They should downgrade the crew. They missed holding calls against Parsons, a tripping call on the Lions that would have secured the game earlier and yes they missed a pass interference on Dallas at the end. They also botched the two point conversion but part of that mess was also NOT telling the defense that 68 was eligible and as I and others have said, he would have been covered as the MLB covered 70 at the guard position. Overall, not a good night for the officials but if they got it right, the game would have ended 20-13. Peace out Washington fans and see you next week in what I am sure will be your Super Bowl like ours was in RFK when we won our sole vixtory during our 1-15 year!

They should. That crew made a bad call which took away a win. That mistake has ramifications on playoff seedlings. It didn’t impact just that game. At least one of those officials should be fired.

Truth is the botched two point conversion call did screw the lions, but the botched tripping call screwed the Cowboys. Had the tripping call went against the lions as it should have the two point conversion never happens.

The officiating in the NFL has been getting worse year by year. It’s rare now to find any game which is well officiated. The calls or non calls are inconsistent in virtually every game.

Often a penalty in the first half is not a penalty in the 4th quarter.

Defensive players don’t know what they are expected to do any more. A perfectly executed tackle can be a penalty these days. Plus the standard change from crew to crew. Coaches and players need to plan for the differences between officiating crews.

In order to deceive the defense Detroit sent two players to report. One was just a decoy. The official confused the two. The Lions were penalized for an official’s mistake. That’s all there is to that one.
