So edgy.

Not edgy, he isn't an elite athlete.

Not one guy on that list makes Top 3 money at their position.

Found a mock with us taking Simmons at 3.

2020 NFL Mock Draft 10.0: Can Isaiah Simmons pass Chase Young?

2020 NFL Mock Draft 10.0
College football season is officially over, and the LSU Tigers have been crowned National Champions. After a 15-0 season and numerous records broken, is quarterback Joe Burrow a lock to go No. 1 overall?

Clemson fell in the title game, but the Tigers had several players showcase their first-round talent. Where do Isaiah Simmons and Tee Higgins fall?

Alabama didn't make the College Football Playoff, but they're still loaded with first-round prospects. How many former Crimson Tide players are in our latest mock draft?

NOW PLAYING
Has Dwayne Haskins shown enough that he's the future of the franchise?
NBC Sports Washington's Santana Moss, Trevor Matich and Brian Mitchell discuss whether Dwayne Haskins has done enough to solidify that he is the future of the franchise?

1. Cincinnati Bengals: Joe Burrow
School: LSU
Position: QB

Notes: The Bengals grab the 2019 Heisman winner with the top overall pick. The Bengals need a fresh start at QB after years of Andy Dalton and a horrid three-game stint from 2019 rookie Ryan Finlay.

Joe Burrow has been amazing this year and will be the face of the franchise from day one. His accuracy and pocket awareness skills are some of the best from a collegiate QB in recent memory.

He’s coming off arguably the greatest season ever by a college QB, finishing the season with 65 total TDs (60 passing/five rushing). Burrow has a long successful NFL career ahead of him.

2. Washington Redskins: Chase Young
School: Ohio State
Position: EDGE

Notes: Chase Young is a stud and the greatest talent in this class. The Redskins are lucky to get him here at No. 2 since the Bengals need a QB.

Young is a transcendent talent, he is an absolute monster off the edge indicative of his school-record 16.5 sacks. Young is a game wrecker that has the potential to be in the same class of the Von Millers and Khalil Macks of the world.

Chase Young and last year’s first-rounder Montez Sweat should strike fear in opponents coming off the edge for years to come.

3. Detroit Lions: Isaiah Simmons
School: Clemson
Position: LB

Notes: I can see head coach Matt Patricia falling in love with the versatility that Isaiah Simmons provides.

I love Simmons’ potential and that he can play literally anywhere. He lines up at linebacker, in the slot, and at single-high safety. He displayed great range on an interception in the College Football Playoff semifinals that shows he's not a normal “LB”.

If this were true... It would mean that under the Patricia era, his last 3 picks would be. OC,TE and WLB. The three least important positions on the football field.
The silver lining is that he is a defensive player.

If we traded down and got another first from Miami, wouldn't be the worst pick I guess.
Not sure why he is so hyped, he isn't Derwin James who was projected top 5 FOR TWO YEARS before he entered the draft and fell all the way to #12. This guy kind of just bust on the scene, reminds me of Aaron Curry.

Matt Prater is pretty good and pushing 36 years old. ...maybe we can "down grade" him by taking a kicker with the first pick.

Ok, so the top 2 go QB/QB....
Pick #3 and it's on us.
The card is turned in and Goddell says "With the third pick in the NFL draft, the Detroit Lions select, Isiah Simmons"
Wat do?

They wont take Simmons with Chase on the board. It was the only mock I could actually find with him going to us. I am pretty sure it will either be Chase or trade back. Slight change of Okudah but there would be no reason not to trade back and still get him. Of course it is the Lions so...

How can you know that?

If Tua looks good at his throwing session before the draft. It's probably 75% chance that it goes Burrow/Tua.

If the Skins don't take Tua outright, Dolphins or Chargers will pony up. He is for sure a franchise caliber QB.

I could live with Quinn if he'd get rid of that dopey Patricia. He has no clue what he's doing.

This'll be his last HCing gig. It's like the Lions show the rest of the league who not to trust with anything important. Caldwell's a fucking assistant QBs coach. Not even QB coach. It's like they had to make up a title just to give the dumb bastard a job.

Did I miss part of the thread?
Someone wants to pay Golladay top 3 money?

I wouldn't mind paying him top 10 money.
It's fair to say he earned it after improving every year and still doing well with Blough at QB.
