I get what you are saying about the Cavs.

I think they, along with the Bulls, will be the Class of the division.

But, their records might not reflect that because of all the parity in the Conference.

Last season, it was pretty obvious that is was only a 2 horse race in the East.

Yet, neither Team sniffed 60.

It will be even harder this year because several Teams got better.

The Bucks, 76ers are the only perennial doormats remaining....although the Celtics and Magic will be awful as well.

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Minnesota Timberwolves have agreed to a deal that will send Kevin Love to Cleveland and land 2014 first-overall pick Andrew Wiggins in Minnesota, according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.

Windhorst said on air Monday that a "handshake" deal is in place between the teams, but that the two cannot come out and say it publicly yet, as Wiggins can't be traded until August 23rd.

The Sixers’ Thaddeus Young is also a piece to the puzzle, according to Windhorst, who sees the multi-faceted forward winding up in Minnesota, either as part of a separate deal or as part of the larger Love deal.

The exact details of what the Sixers would be receiving in such a deal are unknown, but Windhorst mentioned Anthony Bennett possibily being re-routed to Philadelphia as part of a Thad Young trade. He also stated that draft picks would be involved.

paying Gordon all that money was so stupid its not even funny- the guy should have been happy with the veterans min. and they go burn good cap space on him?

and hey, i respect Frye's game as much as the next guy- but at his age, with his one dimensional game to give him 4 years at 8 a year was insanity- especailly when guys like Vucevic are gonna be up for contracts soon


and both of us had to be absolutely astounded when they took Gordon over guys like Exum and Randle and Smart in the draft...holy shit they could have hada back court of Exum and Oladipo for the next 5 years- that would have been so fun to watch -and would have been murder defensively once they developed-....

instead they get another undersized PG, burn a future 1st rounder- and overdraft Gordon- take him above AT LEAST 3-4 guys that in normal drafts would have been in consideration for #1 (randle, smart, exum)....

got into Case but its extremely expensive- and for someone who will stay local Marshall actually has a better alumni network and offered a lot mroe scholarship $....

i was accounting undergrad, and am just finishing a clerkship with a firm that does mostly business law- even though i actually have touched in domestic relations and some litigation.....

actually the last 2 weeks i have worked on a sexual harrassment case almost exclusively that reads like a freaking lifetime movie...its ridiculous

My point was that some were much harder to earn then others.
They all hold equal weight historically, but modern day championships are much harder to achieve then they were ' back in the day', and especially the Minneapolis days.

my advice to him is get a group of 2-3 people he really trusts to be in a study group with....if you get anymore you just dont end up getting anything done--- and try and get with people that have similar intelligence and or similar study habits....thats really important so you are always not either dragging people along or trying to catch up----and that you can get good time together....

not a lot of people know this- some do- but law school is all on a curve- in my 1L section there were 35 or so students- and NO MATTER WHAT happens- only 10% get A's in the class.. usually rounded up and maybe massaged a little- so maybe 5 A's....

so everyone is competing over those grades...doesnt matter if 10 people get 94%...only the top 5 get A's and the tiebreaker is class particpation, attendance, etc.......


so you really need to get a goood group of people you trust


and my advice to your son- some stuff that is more tangible

his notes--- date them and mark the pagenumbers the material is from- this might seem self explanatory but if u dont think about it or forget it hurts you - since usually its just one big test at the end- and by the end ofthe semester in december you go back and lookat notes from september and can get lost
