The Lakers last few gambles didn't pay off, and I as much as anyone have busted Lakers fan balls, but if you think that FA's will shy away from there once Kobe's current contract expires, you're in for a rude awakening.

"Top FA think Cleveland is a more desirable location then Los Angeles moving forward"---Cavs Fans.

hey-

we shall see in the next 11 months where Kevin Love signs long term

my bet is on CLE not LAL- but we shall see

If Kobe comes back in top form, his salary isn't such an abomination. As much as I hope for it, I don't think that is likely to happen.

* hits pause button on haterism *

I honestly don't think the Season will be as bad as some suspect.

The Hybrid Princeton is gonna play to Boozer, Kobe's strengths.

You guys have some young, athletic guys and shooters.

The 6-8 seed is very possible.

For all the things I hate about Kobe, the guy is mentally tough and can will you to victories.

He might not be the Mamba of old.

But, Joe Johnson-ish is still pretty good.

* hits play on Hate *

The Lakers suck:pound:

Yeah, I'm trying to get it all in now.

When school starts on the 12th, that's a wrap:bawling:.

Do any of you guys play Fantasy basketball?

I could never get anyone to play with me from Fannation.

Whose selling you the high quality crack?

You are 100% about point 1, but 0 % correct about point 2.

Name any Heat fan who ever said James won't make other players around him better.

Making them better is far different then making them championship caliber.
This roster is not championship caliber.

how do you know?

we have no clue what the final roster is even going to look like....they still may add guys like Marion, Ray Allen, theres a trade deadline- there are veteran buyouts.....the Love trade isnt even a FOR SURE thing....

lets just hold our horses for at least the next 6 weeks

Lebron makes any team a championship contender, except Cleveland - butthurt Heat fans

Where the fuck did I ever say they wouldn't be a "contender"?
Of course they are.....along with several other teams.

I said this roster isn't " championship caliber".

Big difference.

Well, did I not say " this roster"?

If it changes, my opinion might also change.

How is a team a championship contender but not championship caliber?

There really isn't a difference.

hey-

we shall see in the next 11 months where Kevin Love signs long term

my bet is on CLE not LAL- but we shall see

It's going to another interesting off-season next year. Lebron has an opt out on his 2 year deal and it appears that Love is determined to test free agency.

Not too long ago, Love signing with the Lakers in free agency was considered such a slam dunk that several GM's weren't even planning on making a bid.

Now, he has a chance to play with Lebron and not only finally make the playoffs, but possibly make the finals. He also knows that the Lakers are about to have a ton of money come off the books and will be able to build around him in his preferred city.

Does he re-sign with the Cavs long term? Does he do a "Lebron" and re-sign with the Cavs on a 2 year deal with an opt out after year 1?

Does he sign with the Lakers and let them build around him?

How much does what the Cavs accomplish this season, play into his decision?
