Barnes can actually be an asset for you guys. His biggest issue, imo, is that he needs someone to rein him in when he starts getting out of control emotionally. CP3 seems to be the toughest guy on the Clippers, but I'm not sure he's enough to keep Barnes under control.

Kobe loved him when he was on the Lakers and lobbied for the Lakers to get him back when they did. Kobe was able to keep him in line though.

CP3 can't be the guy because he can be just as bad.

He complains A LOT and I'm surprised he doesn't pick up more techs.

I like Barnes as a sub.

But, he's forced into the starter role because Dudley is craptastic.

I think Doc counted his Chickens before they hatched this summer.

He was sure he'd get Pierce and wasted a draft pick on another SG.

I wanted him to take Cleanthony Early....oh well.

Considering all of the money that the Lakers will have available within the next 2 years and that virtually every expert out there expects them to be back within 2-3 years, the Clippers have a small window.

So far, they've managed two 2nd round playoff exits. Somehow, I think the Lakers will be just fine compared to the Clippers.

What's funny though, is fanbases like the Cavs and Clippers whose teams have never won a thing, thinking they're just going to start racking up titles.

who is taking that money?

Howard?
Carmelo?
LeBron?

lol.....

Uh, you understand that those picks will take a few years to develop into solid NBA players IF they even pan out, right? Next years draft is projected to be pretty weak and future drafts (for what that is worth this early) don't look a whole lot better.

Picks are nice to have, but money gets proven players. Some have Wiggins projected as the next Lebron or at least the next superstar in the NBA, yet Cleveland is willing to give him up for a proven player like Love.

I don't think they will make all those picks.

I think they will package some of them with Rondo to get a Stud.

I still don't get why they won't send Rondo to the Pistons for Monroe.

It was rumoured that e and Smith were good friends and wanted to play together.

I just dont know who the Lakers think is taking their money to go to a team that is playing in the same building as a team with CP3 and Griffin

I mean as i said- what 2-3 players are taking the Lakers money so that they will even be as good as the Clippers?

lol.....

Fixed to be all inclusive.

No Soup for you

Not only did the Lakers extend max contract offers to LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, and Chris Bosh, they apparently also offered the same deal to Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki.

It's so funny that they won't acknowledge your posts.

I guess because no matter how you slice it...

17 > 16:pound:

It's not about not acknowledging his posts. Lakers fans respect the Celtics more than any other franchise. They have the lead in titles 17 - 16 and even if the Lakers pass them in titles, the Celtics will still own the head to head. Can't argue against it, just have to respect it.

There is a tremendous amount of respect on both sides in that rivalry.

Also, the class that Celtics fans showed in applauding the Lakers when we finally beat them and in the way they have treated Magic Johnson over the years, goes along way with Lakers fans. They are our most bitter and respected rival.

Agreed.

It's just jokes, TF12.

I hate ya'll.

But, as an Angelino, I respect what you have accomplished and what Dr. Buss built.

With that being said, the days of Clipper fans cowering in fear are gone.

The Have-nots are finally heading towards respectability.

Back to the premise of the thread.

Laker fans didn't want Howard to re-sign.

For you guys either:noidea:.

They are also a Historic Franchise.

They might not have the same lure of a California lifestyle.

But, guys will take their money because they are the Celtics.

Kevin Love is a guy that would sign with either team, if it doesn't work out in Ohio.
