Gasol for picks I hope. I hope they don't send Swaggy as it was earlier reported. I thunk it'll come down to a sign and trade with Gasol and we get picks.

It is obvious Gasol is done with the Lakers. He turned down a 2-year, 22 million dollar contract to go to the Bulls for one that is 3 years that pays close to 10 miilion per year. If a sign and trade deal doesn't get worked out, the Bulls are going to offer him a 3-year deal at around 7 million per year. It is safe to say he is done with the Lakers.

This is what Gasol turned down with the Lakers: Prior to Friday, the Lakers offered Gasol two deals: two years worth $23 million, and three years worth $29 million, a league source told ESPNLosAngeles.com's Dave McMenamin. Gasol turned down both offers, according to the source.

I think he might been telling the Lakers eff-you.

Fuck him back, all he did the last 2-3 years was have his head down during a game, like if he was still heart broken that his GF left him. I was sick of watching being a soft ass. Remember when Phil Jackson punched him in the chest for being a wuss ?

Now I know he did a lot for us, and was a class act, but at least we don't have to see a walking 7 foot depressed Giraffe anymore. Like you said Retroram52 his a "GASBAG".

GOOD RIDDANCE!

Lakers wanted 2 first round pick. Bulls offered one. Lakers said no and deal was canceled. Too greedy and lost everything.

If it was the Kings pick that the Bulls had then it was top 10 protected and would have moved to a 2nd round pick. Most likely that pick turns out to be a early 2nd rounder. Not really worth it with the other things the Lakers would have had to take.

Yep, apparently we get nothing and he walks. Turns out in the end he turned into a real Gasbag.

I agree with erckm, better to just let him walk than to get worthless picks and take on crap. I also think it's a bit much to be bashing Pau for not staying with the Lakers.

He has been a class act and despite being constantly shopped by the Lakers, stuck by the franchise. I'd argue that he has shown the Lakers more loyalty than the Lakers and many of our fanbase have shown him.

If the Lakers really want Boozer, they should be able to scoop him up, if and when he is amnestied.

The Lakers screwed up by not trading him for the last two years. Not his fault.Jim Buss strikes again!!!

I agree that him not getting traded was not his fault. However, I'm not sure we can even blame Jim Buss though. First of all, Pau was traded for CP3 before Donald Sterling overstepped his bounds and took the never before seen action of vetoing the trade.

While I understand the reason behind it, it was still an unprecedented action and he should have understood the clear conflict of interest. If the league isn't the owner, that trade doesn't get vetoed.

He has been in every trade rumor since then, but teams kept lowballing due to his recent injury struggles. Think about it, if he had traded Gasol for what was reportedly being offered, we'd all be on here bitching about how he gave Gasol up for crap.

Easy TJF12. I was having an inside joke with LALakersboy. I am well aware of Gasol's loyality and how much it irritates you that I used to refer to Gasol as Gasbag.
