My thinking about building a defense, starts with the front seven .......Denver proved that. Their CBs and safeties weren't all that good. If no pass rush....it doesn't matter who you have as DBs. But it's pretty difficult for a QB to complete as a pass when he's hurried or flat on his back.
Was it 51 million guaranteed? The Wash will pay for that one down the road.

While I agree the Broncos had a great front-7 it is not like they had a terrible secondary though. Chris Harris and Aqib Talib have both graded out as top-10 Corners in the league. Bradley Roby was/is a 1st round Corner that without his red flags would have been a top-15 pick easily and has shown up well. Ward is considered one of the best in the box safeties in the league. So not like our secondary are a bunch of no names that have done nothing in their careers. Talib and Ward for sure have at least proven it on other teams that they have a high level of skills.

I hear you. Not sure if you remember the thanksgiving game last year but he basically owned Bryant and got under his skin.

I think the contract will look good in the first 2 seasons.....but i think starting in year 3 it would seem like he was worth it

I'm interested to see if they go M2M with Norman or if they keep him on one side a la Sherman. Paying him that much makes me think that he's going to cover the #1 all day, every day.

Between me feeling Norman is overrated, and he signing in Washington, safe money is on this turning into a disaster

The criticism of the "same old Redskins" and references to Snyder just crack up those of us who know what's really going on at Redskins Park. As Rasta challenged please name all the over the hill big name free agents this team has over paid for in the last 7 off seasons. So far I've got:

Jason Hatcher.

That's it, that's the list. Now before flying off the handle at this signing go examine the moves the Giants made this off season. But they are not criticized because they don't have Washington's history.
