Well, he has a chance at being the first line guy. When it comes down to it, they could just be 1a and 1b. I stand by my feeling that he could be the best Staal at the end of their careers.

He will be 1st line... on Erics wing.
Or #2 center.

Eric's not moving to wing, nor will he be #2

That said....
I
I can think of way worse problems than worrying which of the Staals on my team is the better center. :D

I'll accept 1a + 1b. :)

Yeah, I was ignoring that idiot. I feel it had much less to do with a certain figure and a lot more to do with his role. Hope Jordan has much success in Carolina.

Staal pretty much said it was the role/minutes in his conference call.

Grayghost doesn't know jack about hockey. He's making all these assumptions, when all the facts are already clear.

You may have clicked on the wrong forum, sir

Pittsburgh Steelers

Good day :yo:

HE WALKED AWAY FROM A SURE THING,a team that has the ability to make the playoffs every season,,,,,,,what will he have with the Canes,,,,,no playoffs perhaps the rest of the time he plays and more money,,,,,

when I was growing up you played to win,Staal turned down 60mil to play for a team on the fast track to nowhere

The Canes are a solid team who have had some down years recently, but also have some room to make improvements. They just got old, really, at key positions.

And with Cam Ward as their goaltender, once in the playoffs, they have a shot every year of making a run.

The Penguins may be a better team, but the Canes are not so far removed from a Stanley Cup, and they've made the playoffs about every other year between then and now.

With the Staal brother connection, I foresee a string of consecutive playoff appearances in the Canes' near future.

There is no such thing as a sure thing in sports, especially with a salary cap. The "sure thing" has been bumped in the first round the last two years.

Not a knock on the Pens (Loki) but a point of perspective for GG.
