This season and next season and several more after that, most likely. His starting days are done, most likely. Santos, Rosario, and Corniell will probably follow along that same line within the next couple of years.
This is a bit extreme don’t ya think

I bet we get some starters out of this bunch

Even Tepid said he was a tad wild

Obviously Seager is not up to snuff as he runs the bases carefully. He will have 2 days off since we don't play tomorrow but I know this will flair up a couple times a year since it always does.
Sad. I wish there was more said about injuries

I agree the approach is extreme. It isn't my approach, though. It has been the Rangers approach for the last few years. They feel very strongly in free agent starting pitchers and seldom like to work in more than one or two homegrown guys. I expect that trend to continue. The early first round guys will be exceptions, usually. Every once in a great while the will stumble upon a Cody Bradford, and be surprised.

At the same time, they rarely like to trust their own relief pitchers to move up and be successful relief pitchers in the big leagues. They seem to think that is what most good starting pitcher prospects are for. There will be an exception every now and then.

I was most worried about Lowe, Heim, Garcia and Semien heading into this past offseason. They took care of Lowe and reduced Heim's opportunities. Garcia appears to have rebounded.

Of course, Garcia started off well last year as well.

I am still not sure about Heim, but maybe he will do better.

Semien just might be the elephant in the room for management. I would have looked into trading him this past offseason

One thing though, between Seager having to be carefully guarded and Semien not hitting, it isn't too hard to see Sebastian Walcott starting 2026 somewhere in the middle of our infield.

Leiter with 55 pitches through 4 innings. That probably gets him through 6 and maybe into the 7th. The pen is fully rested.

They said Josh Smith becomes only the 4th Ranger to ever get an extra-base hit off a pitch that was thrown at least 100 mph.

2 good outing’s by Leiter. Don’t think he’s going anywhere.
I believe he is going to be our #3 starter going forward, provided Eovaldi and deGrom stay healthy.
He has been absolutely nasty. He's looking every bit like what we hoped for when he was drafted.

Win. Back to back shutouts. Can’t say much about the non existent offense.
The pitching has been absolutely amazing. I'm concerned about Semien struggling and the fact that Taveras is getting so much play time.
I expect Seager, Pederson and Burger will come around pretty soon.
