Ultimately, I don't think this works out the way we want it to. It's great that Jimmy wants to come here. But we have to execute a trade (send Richardson at this point along with a 2019 first round pick, plus another asset) and hope that Minny bites. Otherwise, he's not coming here as we don't have a max slot open in our salary cap.

We'd also have to take on Deng's contract from Minnesota, which I'm down for if they take TJ. Deng has 3 years left, while TJ has two.

Basically. I don't like it from the perspective that once a player says "Trade me to X", the team than trades him to Y,Z, etc... Plus, we can't just hit him up in FA like LA can do with Kawhi. Because we don't have the cap space.
