For one year it is cool but if 2 years from now they're struggling and by struggling, I mean mediocre team then it won't be cool anymore

I would hope that fan expectations will rise in 2 years. Right now, Warriors fans have no expectations for this season except that we will get a high draft pick. There is some faint hope that Giannis will want to come here, but it's definitely not an expectation.

Warriors fans are fortunate right now that the ownership group wants to win. Also fortunate that the past decade has put the team on the map such that free agents look at Golden State as a good place to go. We struck out on Dwight Howard (which was probably a good thing), but at least it showed that the ownership group would fight for a place at the table.

That's obviously not the plan. And I don't see why they can't be a good team again next year.

Anything is possible in this league. All depends on the young players improve from this year til next year and if they can flip D-Lo for someone else

Yep, I thought it was cool not having lebron and watching my team play all the young guys...Its not very "cool" now 2 years later...Although a good solution is just not watching the games i guess...

I agree that anything is possible. But Steph and Klay back at 100% alone makes them better than mediocre, imo.

Then, if D-Lo fits in well or they can trade him for a couple of solid role players, they're back in the hunt.

That's not even adding in their likely lottery pick. Which they can use in the draft or in a trade.
