Big Red in the Big Ten!
Lebron opting to go to Miami has nothing to do with how good the opponents he's faced in the finals have been.
No but it does have to do with his supporting cast...

So Lebron going to Miami made Pop and the Spurs better? Worse?

So having a "supporting cast" with Wade and Bosch didn't make any difference in LBJs success?
I was talking about his opponents.
Sure LBJ going to Miami with Wade and Bosh gave him a better cast than the garbage team (and coach) around him in Cleveland, but that still is totally inconsequential of teams he lined up against in the Finals. Pop and the Spurs last year (and arguably in 2013) were clearly better teams than the Heat teams with Lebron. Dallas was a better team than the 2011 Heat. SA was clearly a MUCH better team than 2007 Cleveland.
You mentioned supporting cast in the post I responded to. Remember?
We'd moved on from that. And see my above post re: 'supporting cast.' Lebron going to Miami from Cleveland doesn't make the teams he played worse. It's as simple as that.
Well I was thinking 2 wins of 6 trips, but either way you cut it, he has lost more than he has won and for a player who has crowned himself the best to ever walk the earth - that's a huge failureNo he wasn't. He was only in Miami 4 years and they went to 4 finals. This is his 2nd finals trip with the Cavs.
4+2 = 6. If the Cavs lose, he will be 2-4 in his 6 finals appearances.
Lebron created his own supporting cast though - In each case the ownership agreed to his terms and go the players he requested, so it is his own undoing. No one is calling him a straw man or whatever. We're just saying that he isn't as great as he thinks he saysSupporting cast =/= opponents and you said supporting cast so quit with the straw man.

But he's supposed to be the King isn't he? If he's the king then he should be able to do anything. That is what Lebron and everyone else is saying. Kobe got the Lakers to the promised land 5 times. Lebron got them two times and quit on his team four times. My math might be off, but I think they call that a LOSING RECORDYou cant even do math lol. Well considering he got some of these teams to the Finals is a testament alone. Records doesnt say everything.
Kobe got the Lakers to the promised land 5 times.
He's got 5 rings but in no way was he the centerpiece of all 5 titles. Some stuff from those 3-peat years. You'll notice those Lakers teams were Shaq's team & not Kobe's. The Lakers really didn't become Kobe's team until after Shaq was gone.
Shaq: 1999-00...1st team, AS Game MVP, League MVP & Finals MVP
2000-01...1st team, Finals MVP
2001-02...1st team, Finals MVP
Kobe: 1999-00...2nd team
2000-01...2nd team
2001-02...1st team
I always laugh when people try to discount Kobe when Shaq was there.
First of all, of course Shaq got most of the accolades back then. He was already an established, in his prime, superstar.
2nd, anyone who actually saw those Lakers teams in those 3 years knows that without Kobe, the Lakers don't win those titles, just as they wouldn't have won them without Shaq.
Also, the titles that people want to give Kobe credit for, aren't won without Pau Gasol. But like Shaq, Kobe was the more established, in his prime superstar.

Please show me exactly where I said that w/o Kobe the Lakers still 3-peat. Of course w/o him the 3-peat doesn't happen. I never said anything like that, those are your words.
What the hell are you talking about - Lebron had two of them in Miami with Wade and Bosh, not to mention Ray Allen who is about as clutch as they come and yet they got drill two of the four times. Once by Dallas who hit nothing but threes and the last time by an aging team that they should have been able to run up and down the court at twice the speed.Kobe had the most dominant center ever LOL. And some clutch shooters. Lebron has no All-Stars right now, let me repeat that. NO ALL-STARS. That has never been done in history, so we will see.
Quit on his team?? Now you are just trolling LOL
Then what's the point of even saying anything other than trying to diminish Kobe's accomplishments in an attempt to make Lebron's look better?
