Is Jalen Hurts already a top 15 QB in the NFL?

Yep this, big difference coming in and starting right away as opposed to coming in week 13 with your team already pretty much eliminated from postseason play.

Eagles aren't eliminated. Saints win kept them alive. That is why that win was so huge. Getting that must win over potentially the best team in the NFC. If they beat the Cardinals then they would have controlled their destiny. They still are likely alive.

Redskins have to lose next week to the Panthers which is a toss up and the Giants have to lose to either the Ravens or Cowboys and it's likely they could even lose both of those games.

Eagles would just have to then beat the Cowboys next week and Redskins in week 17. Fully in play. Will know by the time the Eagles and Cowboys play at 4pm next Sunday though. If the Redskins beat the Panthers at 1 then the Eagles are eliminated.

Teams not at full strength.

Yeah somehow that is an advantage for Hurts that the Eagles are onto their 3rd string LT, 3rd string RG & 3rd string RT against the a defense ranked 6th in sacks for his 1st stat and then a defense ranked 4th in sacks in his 2nd career start.

Yeah big advantage to Hurts.

Right, and playing the Saints without an all time great at QB is somehow a disadvantage.

Fulgham is legit. He isn't getting opportunities because this organization has a love affair with Alshon. But Alshon will be gone next year. He finally got some opportunities against the Cardinals and made big plays. A fumble recovery and 2 big first down catches on 2 targets late on the final drives.
Maybe a new coach will like Fulgham cause Doug chucked him under the bus last week. The organization doesn't love Alshon, it's that 17mil that keeps him on the field.

Apparently he believes that starting the 1st 2 games of a season are the same as starting games 13 and 14 after coming on in relief in game 12. It should be apparent that teams aren't usually at full strength after 12 games...then again...remember who is posting
That and teams don't have much tape so that gives Hurts a big advantage.

Saints were 9-0 the past two season without Drew Brees entering that game against Hurts in his first career start. Also Brees don't play defense. Against a top ranked defense that hadn't given up a 100+ yard rusher in some absurdly long multi-year long streak Jalen Hurts ran for 106 yards while also throwing 167 and a TD pass on 4th down with no interceptions.

Alshon won't be on the roster next season. Fulgham will.

and they didn't have any decent tape on him....now all teams have 2 game tapes and you'll see if that makes a difference...

I am sorry fellas. We are not all this dumb, please believe me.
Believe me, I know a lot of good realistic Eagles fans. I've been to the Linc rooting for the Eagles and rooting for the Seahawks when they've been in town and never had a problem. Lot of good knowledgeable fans.

You better hope it does. If the Eagles make it in as the East champions with Hurts then every NFC playoff team is at risk if he keeps this play up.

I don't think that pretty much is correct though. Given the scenarios they are still very realistically alive.

What Jalen Hurts is doing as a rookie against playoff teams nonetheless projected out over 16 games for a rookie season is something else:

4,000+ passing yards, 32 passing TDs, 0 INTs, 1,350+ yards rushing & 8 rushing TDs.

That's next level. He might be the next Patrick Mahomes for all we know in 2022. Darkhorse MVP candidate for next season.
There's the inevitable "projected". Get the bust and gold jacket ready and all those MVPs.

I'm just shocked he hasn't fumbled 4 times already. Every college game I watched with him i feel like he fumbled at least twice lol ... but yes he's been good so far

They beat the best team in the conference and just went toe to toe with another likely playoff team when our secondary was nonexistent with injuries. Should hopefully be getting Slay back at least. Our defensive line is really starting to come alive with sacks which at the end of the day has always been what this Jim Schwartz Eagles defense has lived and died by. They are getting into playoff form.

in 6 playoff games over the past 3 seasons, Jim Schwartz's defense has allowed over 20 points in a playoff game only once and that was in the Super Bowl which the Eagles won. Eagles defense will come to play if the Eagles make the playoffs. Hurts is dynamic enough with some young play makers around him on offense to make it very possible for the Eagles to pull off an upset or two in the playoffs.

That is one thing he has done. 4 fumbles in the 2 starts, only 1 was lost though.
