Is Baker Mayfield a Top 10 QB

I can't argue with you on hypotheticals if you don't even have anyone in specific you are talking about. You're posting from the standpoint of an agenda other than an established opinion based on the results of the list.


Baker is not better than Wentz and this season will show that. Bakers has by far a better team that he plays on but as far as individual success at the QB position Wentz will outperform Baker this season.

What does last year have to do with this year in regards to the Colts? Does the Colts having their LT this year mean that's the same as them not having him this year?


Browns will do better than the Colts this year. They have a much better roster. But Wentz will be the better QB and will put up better numbers.

He would only be 20+ ranked if he plays like he did last season. But that doesn't appear to be the case. Week 1 he went 65.8%, 251 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT & a 102.0 QB rating. This was his without a LT and in his first game on a new team. Looks like Wentz prior to 2020. If he holds this up over the course of the season then the 15 rank I have for him will look low.

If he has another season like last he deserves a ranking well below 30.

He did not play like an NFL caliber starting QB last season.

So really tough to rank him top 15 based on what he did his first 2-3 seasons.

If he gets back to that level? Then we can have that conversation.

But until he starts proving that he can still play at that level consistently, he is not a top 20 QB.

He got benched but he didn't get shipped out of town. He was demanding a trade. Eagles fired Doug Pederson to try to appease Wentz but he wanted Roseman gone too which they weren't going to do so they went along with his trade demands.

He has around top 5 arm talent but he is likely around 12 at this point, if you look at the list. Most nailed it saying he is around 12.

Top 10 (in no order) - Mahomes, Brady, Wilson, Rodgers, Allen, Dak, Stafford, Murray, Tannehill, Watson

Then you have a cluster of QB's you put at 11-14 - Cousins, Baker, Carr, Herbert.

Hebert's one year isn't enough, if he does it this year that could catapult Herbert into the top 10 maybe even top 7. Not enough track record.

Big Ben and Ryan seemed to be regressing as we speak.

I need to see more than this past Sunday against a flat-footed Titans defense to include Murray in the top10. And of course Ben is regressing, dude is now in his 18th season in the league

What other QBS are you talking about? What are you even referring to?

We have seen Wentz be great with a great team (2017) and we have seen him be great with a bad team (2019). He has only had one bad season and that was 2020 and I'm not blaming that on him being on a bad team. It was a mess around him especially with the offensive line but he was brutally bad. It had got to the point of being toxic in Philadelphia. Pederson - Roseman - Wentz all at ends with each other. Wentz had a mental collapse and played like complete dogshit. He could very well not bounce back from that and just be dogshit from here on out. But he ended up in the best possible place for him to go to be with Frank Reich and if week 1 is any indication, he is on his way to back to being the player that he was. He's only 28. Colts got their franchise QB.

Baker - who you don't seem to give benefit of doubt for anything played a playoff game without 2 starters on the O-line (LT included) AND their replacements. O-line coach and Asst. coach as well as HC also not there. #1 WR was gone. Moved the ball up and down the field on a solid D.

Even if he never takes another snap, he is a SB winning QB, not many can say that. BTW did you know that Minny beat Bama once?
