No he is not. They just had their best draft since 2012 and resigned the players worth resigning. Lock is as good or better then Geno or any other options that were available. Pete will absolutely fight tooth and nail for every win that's in his nature.

The other They are willing to send out there & try to get them to elevate their game.

Things can change of course and new targets evolve but to get one of those top two you will need a top 5 pick. Like you said, if Pete is content with Lock...he is tanking, plain and simple. I know you've seen it more than me but that kid is a backup, nothing more. Pure garbage. If he starts Geno at least he is trying. Going for Baker is nothing more than a one year plan so you have to think that is at least in the cards. They acquired Lock as nothing more than a throw-in with their starting TE and draft picks.

For the purpose of the thread, though, it confirms where the NFL is right now with QB contracts.

Baker Mayfield is either in the Dak/Cousins tier or he is in the Teddy Bridgewater/Mariota tier. Either way, he isnt a top 10 QB and will have a hard time getting paid when the rookie QB contracts are so attractive.

Mayfield: 29-30 as a starter with a road playoff win.

Lock: 8-13 as a starter with footwork & accuracy issues.
