Solid? Maybe. Randy? Would have to disagree and that isn't a knock on him but Randy was amazing for years. I don't see Woo as an All-Star for years to come and I don't see H.O.F player at all. I think he is on a nice run but hasn't faced teams multiple times yet where they can figure him out then he would have to adjust. That is the real test.
I agree it would take some years with many adjustments along with maturity and growth but the stuff is there. Randy didn't become a HoF over night and the Expos didn't think much of him and got lucky he was traded to us. We'll know in about 5 yrs if Woo is the real deal.

Maybe with Roberts but I'm still suspect with his injury history. Not sure giving up Woo excites me on that front. Alonso if the Mets pay half or all his salary, than more prospects will have to be involved. I'd rather take the contract and give up less prospects.
Just my personal opinion is if Woo were to be involved in a package to the Mets I bet they’d pay most of the salary and not need extra prospects. Prospects are nice and all but getting a young controllable proven big leaguer with one prospect is worth more than getting say a Emerson, Ford, Laz and insert mid tier prospect package

I wouldn't trade Woo for Alonzo or Roberts. Alonzo is a rental so no top guy for him from and Roberts is just too average for a top tier player. Now Robert and Crochet I would do for him but Sox wouldn't.

We should revisit Lane Thomas. He is .217 this year and may now they would deal him. He was .268 with 28 homers and 86 RBIs last year.

Nope. Not going to happen.MLB Guys said it best, he is mediocre not top tier.

I get they are a really crappy organization, but no way does anyone in that organization think they could get that right? I know I just said proven vs prospects but I wouldn’t be thrilled if the M’s give up their top 5 prospects for Robert. If he is healthy then IMO he is worth it, but he is Kyle Lewis

Who cares if the D-Backs are "willing" to listen to offers for a struggling Eugenio Suarez... Struggling hitters are the last people we should be looking at to add to this already anemic offense... M's better not be "willing" to entertain this idea...

Maybe we can just give them Sebby Zavala and some reliever that hasn't pitched all year due to injury for him.

Lane Thomas seems like a bit of a gamble. He's 29 years old. After years of laboring in the BJs and Cards minor league systems, he becomes a late bloomer on a perennial sub-.500 team. These types worry me a bit. I don't think I would trade Woo for him. Maybe Miller or Hancock. What I'd really like to see is for the Ms to expand on this potential trade and also get one of their four fine relievers (Floro, Finnigan, Law, Harvey).

Maybe we should have a trade thread for guys their team is eagerly prepared to cut ties with but you don't want to end up here. The guy that comes immediately to mind for me is Randy Arozarena. And being from Cuba, the documents that claim he is 29 years old may be far from accurate. But, he seems like a Dipoto guy. Cheap, underperforming, and strikes out alot.

I wouldn't trade a top prospect for him or a current MLB pitcher for him. I pick him because I know with Jerry you have to pick a guy that isn't solid but has flaws and is cheap. I typically look at top guys and eliminate them right off. Then I go to second tier and remove them. Then I get to the third tier and start to wonder if they fit and if the price would be right. That is where I came up with Thomas. Plus he is under 30 which would be a nice change for Jerry.
