They're not tearing it down, it will be transformed into Georgia State's football stadium, which is good because the Georgia Dome looks empty when Georgia State plays its home games there.

But, I'm all for it. Now when I go to a Braves game, I won't have to go to that shithole known as Atlanta and with me living as far north in GA as I do, the further north in GA they can go, the better as far as I'm concerned.

Plus Turner Field is in one of the worst neighborhoods of Atlanta.
I'm anxious to see the new stadium, hoping to go down for the opener in April.

Turner Field, while in a shitty place, holds a lot of memories for me man. So many great games I got to see there. But the new stadium is probably in a perfect place for me since I'm in southeast Tennessee. I wish they would've done some things to stand out a little more though, kinda boring in the renderings honestly

Yeah. They only lead the MLB in ops+, era, and defensive efficiency. You know... everything.

And can't even do better than 3-3 against a last place team.

Like I said, they ain't nothin special.

Crazy they are tearing that stadium down already. Seems like they just built it.
Yep. Turner opened in '96 and the Globe Life Park opened in 94. Looks like they are already going to tear that sucker down and build one with a retractable roof. Probably build something that will look like a baseball version of Jerry's world and have matching stadiums across the creek/parking lots! :L

I'll check back in when the Tigers' season is over.
Fuck our stupid head coach who literally has given away games. And who gave away a chance to win in this one.
Fuck our revolving door assistant coaching so that we have no cohesion or plan.
Fuck our D scheming which seems to be an effort to help struggling opponents.
Fuck losing close games all the time like some jv squad.

Go Cubs.

Fuck you. Fuck my dumb self too. Fuck OSU. Fuck Wolverines. Fuck
Tigers choked so hard dude. Honestly I think MSU provides much less pain.

You're just jelly that the Chicago Fire kept the CUbs from being the oldest continuously operating MLB franchise and gave that title to The Braves.

But, baseball is my favorite sport.

If Georgia going 0-12 would somehow guarantee a Braves World Series title the following year, there's a chance I might agree to it and spend the entire college football season wasted.

We're (WVU) usually halfway there anyway. I'd do that once for the Sawx

I quit watching baseball back when they had the strike in the 90's for the most part. It's one of those things I'll occasionally watch when nothing is on.

There are lots of Braves fan in Alabama.

I was part of the parade to close out Turner Field Yesterday. Not really sure why, but it came with the tickets.

There were sections of the parade from Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and of course, Georgia.

Truly a regional team.

But I was 3 years old for the 94 strike, so I never got turned off by it.

Funny thing about that strike, the Expos were the best team in baseball at the time.

If the Braves had 3 World Series titles since the new millennium, there's no way I;d do it for UGA, but as it stands now if it meant just one 0-12 season for UGA and then back on course the next season, I'd ponder hard about it for a Braves WS title.

Good thing the strike happened to keep the Braves division title streak alive then.

I understand but WVU is annually basically a .500 team. Giving up 6 victories for another sox title I'd do.

On the flip side I'd trade the Red Sox in last place for 5 years for a WVU title.

The Braves are in rebuild mode and we've been in the basement the last two seasons, I definitely think I could handle 5 more for a UGA title.
