Until the last person that made Steve Bartman's life a living hell dies, the Cubs don't deserve a World Series and those fans sure as hell don't deserve to celebrate one.

Cubs ain't nothin special. We split the season series with them.

But I was more or less getting at the Braves officially knocked the Tigers out of playoff contention yesterday.

LALA LA LA LA CAN'T HEAR YOU LA LA LA LA

I've seen/heard enough about the Braves beating the Cubs to last a lifetime.

I don't even really watch baseball anymore. I keep track of the scores and that's about it.

You're just jelly that the Chicago Fire kept the CUbs from being the oldest continuously operating MLB franchise and gave that title to The Braves.

But, baseball is my favorite sport.

If Georgia going 0-12 would somehow guarantee a Braves World Series title the following year, there's a chance I might agree to it and spend the entire college football season wasted.

As much as it pleases me whenever the Reds have success (as rare as that happens), there's NO WAY I'd ever be okay with a guarantee of them winning the WS in exchange for the Buckeyes going winless, no way in hell. Then again, I love football waaaaaay more than baseball

LOL! I was about to point that out but read through the thread to see if someone else did already
It's what I get for being in a rush and clever while at work.

If it came down to it, I probably would turn it down, but there is a chance I wouldn't,

The only two teams I love are the Braves and Georgia, and there's nothing I look forward to more than college football Saturdays, but at the end of the day, the teams under my avatar are listed in order.

I quit watching baseball back when they had the strike in the 90's for the most part. It's one of those things I'll occasionally watch when nothing is on.

There are lots of Braves fan in Alabama.

I was part of the parade to close out Turner Field Yesterday. Not really sure why, but it came with the tickets.

There were sections of the parade from Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and of course, Georgia.

Truly a regional team.

But I was 3 years old for the 94 strike, so I never got turned off by it.

I used to follow baseball very closely from 2003 through about 2009 (right around the time my wife moved in), and have been watching less and less and barely pay attention to the games, just check the standings every week. The Tigers are beginning to make me jaded like the Lions.

Crazy they are tearing that stadium down already. Seems like they just built it.

They're not tearing it down, it will be transformed into Georgia State's football stadium, which is good because the Georgia Dome looks empty when Georgia State plays its home games there.

But, I'm all for it. Now when I go to a Braves game, I won't have to go to that shithole known as Atlanta and with me living as far north in GA as I do, the further north in GA they can go, the better as far as I'm concerned.

Plus Turner Field is in one of the worst neighborhoods of Atlanta.

Yeah. They only lead the MLB in ops+, era, and defensive efficiency. You know... everything.

They also lead the league in obnoxious douche fans, too, apparently
