According to Carroll, Ifedi will be playing right guard, with Webb at right tackle. With those two huge guys on the right side of the line, Rawls and the other running backs should get some huge holes to run through and if Ifedi is as good at guard as the guys on NFL Network talked about, Wilson should have less pressure coming at him from up the middle than he did last year.

Germain Ifedi going to start inside at right guard, per Pete Carroll

He's still got to earn it in Aug, but there you go. RG it is for now.

Surprising to hear he's headed for RG because I thought they liked what Glowinski did there last year.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.

For some reason I thought they were going to give him a shot at LT...

I think the coaches are pretty set on Gilliam at LT.

Oh yeah... Forgot about him... He's definitely the lock there for the most part...

Can't say I'm too excited about this pick. It's a typical project o-linemen, but this one goes against the grain of some of their physical philosophy.

We'll see...

Yes I guess we will. He has the athlete metric numbers that the Seahawks like. I'm kind of excited about myself, don't think he'll be a stud per say, but do think he'll turn out to be really solid and above average. Might be the first time under this regime I've been happy about their OL pick.

this is almost a no brainer. If you did a little digging on Ifedi it points to him playing Guard with a shot of playing at best RT. When they Drafted him i said he most likely will play Guard, it means bad things if he makes it at Right Tackle because he is not as good as a tackle as he is a guard.

Better then Webb or anyone else they have to play that position (RT), unless someone like Poole emerges to play that position. Which I highly doubt.
@Screamin12th you watch Webb play tackle? He's got way to slow feet to play tackle. Watch the film, ask a Raider fan.

Ifedi has slow feet for a tackle and Webb has experience in the NFL Ifedi doesn't. I think Sowell will be our RT if he doesn't beat out Gilliam for the LT spot anyway and if he beats out Gilliam then We all know who will be the RT.

LT....................LG..................C....................RG..................RT
Gilliam/Sowell.Britt...............Lewis...............Ifedi.............Gilliam/Sowell

All the stuff I read on him said he leaned too much and had some sloppy technique. Seemed to be positive about his measurables including moving around.

Yes that's is what they have said but all the video i have watched of him i can't help and look at how slow his feet are. As a Guard he looks dominant because he doesn't need to have that quick of feet and he is a man beast. If Ifedi starts at Guard there is a good chance this line is as good as last year and a very small chance it is better but there is still a chance. I feel if he starts at RT there is a small chance this line is as good as last year and a larger chance it is worse with who playing Guard?

Considering where he was picked playing him at G makes sense. Hopefully he can give us the size and power inside to slow down donald.

Agree 100%... I believe he's going to be that type of OL that will have a long tenure here...
