He's dead to us. (He screwed himself with the league as a whole. There are a lot of things that go on behind the scenes I think every team wants kept secret, and no team likes a Rat. The entire situation has haunted him I think. He's actually a really good coach.)

By the way Oldman, I was driving home from our main office in Raleigh today on my way home in Fayetteville and I passed this old guy heading south with MD plates and Ravens stickers. I honestly thought to myself I wonder if that's the Oldman heading to FL.

Careful what you wish for. McDaniels' name being mentioned in Denver still brings about cuss filled conversations. His name is hardly even allowed to be spoken and that was what 4-5 years ago. The guy is a pretty good OC but HC man was he terrible. Maybe he has learned from his mistakes but by the time he left Denver he had burned pretty much every bridge with every player and FO person on the team. They couldn't run him out of town fast enough.

It does seem coaches on their 2nd or 3rd time around seem to do much better. Hardly any coaches seem to find success first time around. I guess they have to learn those tough lessons. It is why I am excited to see what Kubiak can do now with this being his 2nd HC job in Denver. As for McDaniels though the issue with him was the guy has an ego the size of China. I have never seen a HC quite act like him until maybe now with Chip Kelly a little bit in Philly. He shipped out every top player on the team, caused coordinators to want to quit even if they had a top-5 defense in the league, had a terrible attitude towards fans, got caught trying to cheat, and so much more. Now maybe the firing humbled him and I'm sure he will get a 2nd chance but it definitely will never be in Denver.
