One thing that is different with McDaniels compared to Weiss and Crennell, is he is a kid by comparison and almost fully under BB's wing.

Isn't that part of the problem though with McDaniels is he very much is a yes man to BB. When he came to Denver his biggest issue was he thought he could be BB and the FO and players read right through that to see how fake he was being and lost all respect for the guy. A lot of these guys who leave New England try to do the Patriot Way when they leave and it just doesn't work without BB at the head of it. I mean I have never seen more players trying to get out of Denver in my life. Same with coaches as they saw how quickly McDaniels was destroying the team.

Not disagreeing with that as yes most coaches first time around seem to fail maybe 9 out of 10 times and the ones that do are usually either taking over for a coach that is retiring leaving a good team behind or have a very solid FO that only puts the responsibility of the new HC to just go out and coach.

I know for me I am being subjective on this matter as the guy almost destroyed my team. Maybe 2nd time around he will be a much bigger success but I just see him still trying to do the Patriot Way as he tried that with St. Louis even when he became OC and failed miserably. He seems to only thrive when with the Patriots. Everywhere else he just has done about as bad as anybody in the league.

I dont think I want McDaniels as HC of Pats. I have seen what Weiss and Crennell have gone and done. Like mentioned some guys are great as an OC or DC. Like Rex Ryan is a real good DC but not HC imo. And Mike Martz and Turner good OC guys but not HC etc etc

Agree, and I think Denver will find out that Kubes is a great OC..... HC, not so much !!!

If he did it would be a shame, seeing BB helped him get that HC job.But then again he took Mangini , who was a ballboy and bumped him up eventually to DC, to rat him out when he became head coach with Jets. It's a different world we live in today Sonny....The one we grew up in held morals high on their character list....
Morals are all but a joke in this new world society, unfortunately.....
