to keep people from typing the name of the other site that people left for. Seems like kind of a childish, paranoid move, but I guess makes sense in some ways. I'm not sure if that site is even still around?

For me it was CBS -> ESPN -> Sportshoopla
Seems like The first 2 suffered a similar fate. The first one was wild too, many trolls all over the place, and most good posters drifted over here, eventually, but under different names.

The trolling on the ESPN forums was half the fun of that dump, man lol. I remember Pheonix Marie had an account there advertising her work once where she posted a pic of herself holding a hand written sign with the forum name and everything, it was a wild couple of weeks lmao

Anyone remember the couple times there was the like radio show or whatever and someone broadcast phone calls. I remember one of the bully trolls called out someone that always got picked on that turned out to be a younger kid. The kid called in and owned the other dude.

I admit I was a significant troll on those ESPN NFL team boards. I don't really troll anymore. That place was infested with trolls. I kind of became one to fit in. I would sometimes have discussions with a Redskin troll called Reptec. I am not going to reveal my ESPN handle on here. TBH the trolls on here seem like amateurs to me when you compare them to those ESPN trolls. Not trying to brag,but I pissed a lot of Eagles fans off and I felt I was doing it in retaliation

Now this was back in the days of Boise State constantly running the table against their very simplistic schedule.

Still, the Spinkiller never posted about Texas or Nebraska or anyone who actually mattered to OUs schedule.

No, he went both feet first deep into epic 17 paragraph rants bitching about Boise State.

I remember reptec. My trolling was well thought out. I devoted myself to troll anything New York. Getting banned from the Yankees board was always fun. I also worked over Colts and Ravens fans. Thin skins abounded!

I was a poster on several boards before this one. Obviously message boards in general are in decline other than Reddit. People moved on to social media, but that medium is very different and you don't have the ongoing discussions and beefs you have in a place like this with posters you engage with consistently.

I still post here, and on a couple of different boards, but I find myself moving to social media as well, and it is a mixed bag.

We go way back Iggy. I am mourning the demise of the message board. We know each other and have for years, as you said we can have a long ongoing conversation on a message board with people you have come to know. Like you for instance. I happen to know that you still wet your bed and listen to Olivia Newton John, but that does not stop you from being a solid poster.
