Was I a homer when PFF put out their mid season all pro team with Brandon Graham as the best DE and I said he isn’t even close, in fact he’s been a disappointment.

Once again you’ve nailed the issue. Last year the eagles made all the plays down the stretch and Wentz got all the credit. This year he is NOT making those same plays but the Wentz fanboys don’t want to hold him accountable. Instead they blame, the D, the O line, Mills, etc.

The eagles have been in virtually every game but the offense failed to get TDS when in the red zone and/or at the end of the game yet Wentz either gets none of the blame or very very little of the blame. They are blinded by their fandom.

Additionally, they treat Foles’ clutchness from last year as an afterthought that they are ready to quickly discard/discount. They say dumb stuff like “I’m forever grateful to Foles for what he did last year BUT (fill in the blank about how great Wentz is). The fact is this team is far too talented to be 4-4. They are loaded on both sides of the ball yet the eagles fans accept Wentz’s shortcomings and blame others. IMO, if Foles is the QB they are NOT 4-4... they are better. What do I base that on? Well, as a lot of posters have said “he knows the offense”. I agree with that. Also, he has shown that with THIS TEAM he is clutch.

The 4-4 record is the fault of two “people”. The first is the coaching stuff who rushed Wentz back too soon (I think it was largely due to a desire to avoid a QB controversy. I mean if this team is 5-3 or 6-2 at this point how do you take Foles out?) and Wentz. He’s just not getting it done in the red zone and at the end of games. He’s not finishing.
