Specifics. I'm waiting for exactly what it is that Howie did that made him a cap genius. How did he circuvent the cap. If there are so many articles it should be easy for you to find.

I told you before but what I’ve heard is this year he was the first to write a clause saying if you make the team you will be cut and in doing that the dead money from their signing bonus won’t count against the cap (ingenious no?). It’s not the same thing as back loading contracts that aren’t guaranteed. How it works exactly I don’t know but the article I read said it was cheating but contractually legal.
This isn’t a cap issue but he was the first one smart enough to sign high priced guys that we cut instead of FA’s because they don’t count in the compensation pick formula. He’s probably the best in the biz at it but he’s not the best drafter, unfortunately. Philly was also this first team to start resigning budding stars after 3 years at a discount giving them their guaranteed money early but less down the road. The guy is fantastic at the part of being a GM

I’ve explained to you why you are wrong. Howie doesn’t just push money down the road but he finds loop holes better then any other GM. What you refuse to accept is Howie doesn’t give mediocre players mega money and that’s what got Dallas in trouble so it isn’t even remotely the same thing. Never once did I see Dallas GM be called a cap guru.
We gave Brian Westbrook 36 million and he was dynamite. You guys shortly after gave a 850 yard back a 55 million dollar deal. That is not what Howies doing so you are COMPLETELY wrong on trying to compare what you did to what we did. Huge deals to both Roy Williams and they both sucked THATS THE DIFFERENCE.

Problem is teams dont need that Fake Clause to do the same thing. DLaws final two years = 40M, the only dead cap he brings if cut is 10M in year 4 and 5M in year 5.

No fake years can eliminate bonus money as that money has already been paid.

Looks like you have read a fluff piece and took it as gospel.

I'll admit he did a very impressive job this off season, but if he continues to do so the FINAL BILL will hit. If it gets a SB (Yes it did already so good on him) but I'm saying if it get another SB or two before it all crashes it's well worth it, but the Eagles cap is headed for a large cliff. It is possible all is wiped clean with the new CBA.

All I'm saying is Howie isn't alone in how hes doing business, they all know how and can operate the same way if they choose so.

Now if Howie was getting guys to extend non guaranteed money into later NON guaranteed money he'd be doing things no other GM has done. Good luck finding that player.

Nope. Never said that either. We have plenty of holes and some crap players. But I said Wentz is great... Cowboys came out in force saying he isn’t. Said our GM was a mediocre drafter but a cap specialist and the Cowboy fans came out and said I’m wrong. Said our 1st team all pro RT was good and my boy Fordy said “No he isn’t”. Now today I got Jarntt saying Westbrook wasn’t a stud either.
