What I said and what Bus Cook confirmed is that it is indeed a 4 year contract and the option does not make it a 5 year deal. It’s a 4 year contract... but I know you’ll never admit you were wrong. You’ll just say something like, “Hahaha, you’re an idiot because I made you email agents”.

Alright, let me point out two things.

1. PE again says the CAP mandates contract length. WRONG.
2. The team does not have the option to add the 5th year. The 5th year is in the contract when signed. Teams have the legal right to decide it wants exercise that right or not.

FYI over 2/3 of options are picked up, out of those not picked up most are cut before they hit year 3.

This isn't saying 2/3 of the picks play on that option as teams negotiate a new contract before year 5 kicks in.
