How long does Philly stick with Wentz before going back to Foles?

Because they have invested too much in wentz and they can’t unwind that. Plus, they have a team built around a qb on a rookie contract not a guy making 20M a year. If they switched to that they would have to cut other players making more money.

Teams do it all the time. Raiders this year are a prime example

Huh... so Foles didn’t perform well against the number 1 seeded team who was at home and coming off rest. That’s why they lost? What I saw was Foles had them in position to score the go ahead TD in last few minutes when he hit a receiver in the hands. Unfortunately that guy blew the catch and the result was an interception. But, it’s about perspective I guess.

Anyways, can you remind me again how Wentz did against this team earlier in the year? Yeah... I thought so.

Like hitting an upright?
There is only so much luck in this world and the Eagles used their lifetime allotment these past two seasons.
Bye bye fly eagles fly away to vacation

Or fumbling in the snow but having it ruled an incompletion. Pretty much every super bowl champion has had a little luck along the way.

The 2002 Patriots went 9-7 and missed the playoffs the year after their first super bowl. If we’re grading the 2017 + 2018 Eagles by that standard, the Eagles are fine. Now they just need to win 4+ more Super Bowls and make 8 straight appearances in the NFC Championship Game.

The Cowboys have not advanced beyond the divisional round in 23 years. Only someone with nothing to brag about in the past 2+ decades would relish so much in the Eagles’ defeat.

QBs shouldn't make over $20M. They should be paying their offensive lines top $$$ to stay upright....

With the changes in NFL rules, I think we could see a shift in QB salaries. It seems like it’s easier to find a competent QB than ever before. Everyone throws for 3000 yards now. Half the league throws for 4000 yards.

Yes, you still want an elite QB, but Nick Foles beat the living shit out of Tom Brady in the Super Bowl last year and probably spoiled his last chance at another ring. And Nick is great. I love the guy. But no one thought he could do that.

Common sense is saying “Let’s keep the worse QB and get no compensation for the better QB”... yeah, that’s you and DoubleDowns brilliant common sense.

In between the first two drives and the final drive, Foles played badly. It is as simple as that.
