How long does Philly stick with Wentz before going back to Foles?

Wow must be a devistating injury? So he could play is what you're saying?
Yep sounds like Dougie benched him. Good cover up though. How to save face.

FAIL
Wince was like buying a new car. As soon as the deal was done and you drove him off the lot he started depreciating. Philly will never get the same return on that investment.
I caution any potential buyers to check "CarsonFax" before buying. You could be buying a lemon.

There are laws against that.

Foles has brought Philly a title, taken them back to the playoffs in place of the injured Wentz, and led them past the heavily favored Bears and their monster D in Chicago. Next week, he has a chance at taking down the steam roller Saints and Drew Brees in New Orleans. Yet the Eagles still want to run the guy out of town regardless of how any of this plays out, lmao

If Foles wins this game then I would have to think moving on from Wentz for multiple draft picks now becomes a very real possibility.

Why is this game the determiner of that?

If Foles out duels Brees in NO where Wentz got crushed and add to the fact Foles saved the season again for the Eagles, then the FO has to rethink on who to keep.

If they move on from Wentz, the FO should be able to sign Foles.
Foles has a 1 year team option of 20M, that option puts them significantly over the cap. Releasing/Trading Wentz give the Eagles 8.5M in dead money. Financially they can't keep Foles no matter what their desire is.

Opt out for the 2mil buy out then resign under a new contract to help the Eagles cap problems.

I see your point but I think what Foles has already done exceeds anything Wentz has done irrespective of what happens in this game.

Yeah they can resign him to a 7 year deal spread out the pain until they get their cap in control.
Which is what they would do if they kept Wentz. Now they can only afford to keep one however.

Unwinding what they gave up for Wentz, trying to recoup that AND getting Foles contract situation straightened out is just too difficult. The Eagles will move forward with Wentz but that doesn’t mean it’s the right move for them.

Do you think hell sign that much under 20M. Even if he did, that puts a bigger cap burden in 2020 and beyond. I suppose there is a way but it will handcuff the teams cap.

5 weeks ago I was thinking hold off on signing Wentz but still thought he was the future Philly QB. What Foles has done the last 4 games and next Sunday has leaned me into the trade Wentz department, load up on high draft picks and build around him. Use the short term gain of Foles and draft QoF down the line.
