This is ironic to me because I think just the opposite. I think the raiders should trade Derek Carr (and in the process accumulate more picks) and try to sign Foles to replace Carr. Having all those picks (plus potentially more by trading Carr) AND Nick Foles is a great recipe for success IMO.

I wonder what @DJ and @black francis think about this idea.

I don’t disagree. In fact, I’m not saying Carr is much different than Foles (except the last year or so) but Carr will bring in picks. So essentially you get the same or slightly better player PLUS picks.
