How long does Philly stick with Wentz before going back to Foles?

Once again, I have to point out what a bunch of fools most of you were (myself included until I saw the light a couple of weeks back into the Wentz experiment) for doubting OP. Let's look at the facts: After Wentz went down in 2017, Foles proceeded to have one of the best postseason performances of all time, absolutely annihilating the Vikings and Patriots in the final two games, looking like Joe Montana having great games out there. Now if they manage to beat the Redskins and the Vikings fall to Chicago, he'd yet again be finishing Wentz's work for him by getting them back to the playoffs. They should trade Wentz for a haul from some sucker team and finally officially crown Foles as their man for the future.

Nick "The Lord and Savior of the Philadelphia Eagles" Foles > Carson "Joe Flacco, Pt. 2" Wentz. Deal with it.
Now we were having a nice gentlemen's debate over Foles & Wentz. No reason to insult either over Flaccos name's

No starting QB ever sits out games without being put on IR...
Yet Wentz is not on IR? At least you know the Eagles want to make the playoffs! :thumb:

If Wentz was benched for performance issues, why’d they wait until after a game where he went 22-32 and threw 3 TD? Sure, they lost...but he was worse the week before in a win. And he was much worse against New Orleans a few weeks ago. Why not bench him then?
Dunno. Maybe they knew they needed a chance to beat the Rams? If they were to have a chance at the Playoffs?
Just a thought :noidea:

Just FYI, for my full disclosure.

I actually appreciate Munsons wit at times in shit talking. At least he normally uses thought when talking shit. (unlike some others)
I have even laughed at some of the things he said, when talking trash directly to me.
I give him kudos.

With that said.
Please.
He has a broken back to the point he cant play. (wont refresh all that Steelerpride has mentioned to both sides of this argument) Point being if the injury is as such, he should have been shut down for the rest of year. Fact he wasnt seems to me. If Foles faltered, Wentz could finish the season & no BS for offseason. Problem is Foles didnt care about that memo.
Wentz has a problem scoring over 24 points (unless it is the giants) & you guys were playing the Rams. Who is used to scoring over 24 points.
Foles did his job (as savior) that we know Wentz just doesnt do (score over 24)

Now Wentz has to stay injured until Foles loses (Which I guess he hasnt gotten that memo yet either)

Point being if you park your Starting QB for fractured back (micro or otherwise) this late in a season. he should have been parked for good. Fact that he hasn't....... You guys are looking for a late Christmas Present. Which only makes problems for you in the offseason.

But hey!
I am a Cowboys fan.
I am all for you making the Playoffs!

“I only smoke after sex... I’m down to 2 packs a day.”

- Nick Foles

Hey well thanks for that as I am now going to get up and smoke what should be my last cigarette which is exactly 1 hour after I said the same thing.

My honest opinion is that Wentz COULD play, but he risks making the back issue worse causing possible recovery into the 2019 season. I'm going to guess after the Cowboys game that Doug did the math that they were essentially eliminated and risking Carson on meaningless games wasn't a good idea.

Now, does the Wentz I've seen over this season win both of those last 2 games, I don't know. I do know that Zach Ertz would have 150 receptions by now.

When the Bears pull their starters in the 2nd half after they see the 9ers getting blown out, the Vikings get to ruin this crazy run like they were unable to do last year against Saint Nick.
That's a fair assessment. However I still say Wentz is no more injured post the Dallas game than he was a few weeks earlier. The injury was an excuse to sit him.

Is anyone shocked that a Cowboys fan is mocking the appearance of a child to try to crack a joke?

I’ll hand it to you, though, handicappers. You’re finally chiming in on a topic that you know something about. How closely related are your parents? Brother/sister situation or parent/child?
Tasteless joke for sure,,,but how is it different from you taking it up a notch in para 2???

stress fracture... not the same as a broken arm.
no, it's what 13 year old girls get when they do too much gymnastics...and some of them just "play through it" without even realizing they have it

The conspiracy theory is clearly based in the fact that the team lost and one more loss knocks them out of the playoffs. Foles comes in again and wins every game and so the theory grows. And yes, of course Wentz plays once he is healthy because he is better. But damn if this fucker Foles wins another SB it creates a dilemma, don't it???

I guess I distinguish it because his joke relies on the appearance of a child and my joke was piggybacking off the words on the image, not the child in the image. But maybe I’m splitting hairs.

Sure. If Foles wins another super bowl, that would be a really terrible spot for the Eagles to be in.
