Am I missing something here... aren’t the eagles in a difficult cap situation? I thought there only saving grace was that Wentz is still on his rookie contact. If that’s true how the hell are they gonna give Wentz a big extension this offseason (putting the injury factor off to the side)?

well seems all the sites are a bit different, but one I looked at has you 15.67 mil over the cap for 2019 with 44 signed. your dead cap space is like 2 mil so that is good. Now when you get rid of Foles your dead cap space will be closer to 4 mil but you will save 18.8 mil. Not a lot of room to pay the rest of team & deal with major contracts without kicking a can down the road some.
