Here’s my favorite argument of them all. Some fat, unathletic kid tries out for the football team. You know damn well we’re they are putting this pimple faced oaf.
Every position is very important. Imagine losing game after game cause your kicker missed every FG or your long snapper chucks the ball over the punters head time after time. It would be very important to fix that position. You fixing that with a top 5 pick... nope. Wanna know why? Cause QB, LT, DE, CB, WR1 is much more important then C
So they stuck you at C? Now it makes why you think it's so easy, if you can do it how hard could it be.

Centers are often some of the least-valued players in the NFL Draft with the first typically going in the bottom half of the first round, and sometimes in the second. However, they’re the anchors of the line and put their fellow blockers in position to succeed. For instance, a guard needs a solid center in order to pull around on a power run play.

They’re tasked with blocking nose tackles and the bigger defensive linemen, opening up holes for running backs.

Once again it's not about draft position. Has nothing to do about draft position. That's what you're not understanding.

And what you’re not understanding is it is about draft position. What I just said seems to me that it’s painfully obvious

Because I’m not 285 pounds. And I have athletic ability unlike Centers

I was wrong last year when I said least important... I’ll admit that but I think this ranking is on point.

And there it is!!! Goalpost moved once again!!!

Pathetic.

Stop with the draft position. I can't help you understand the importance of the C. How is it everyone understands this but you?

Draft position is about TWO things... talent and need.

The draft always asks the age old question: do you draft for need or “best player available”.

I’ve NEVER heard a GM or draft analyst say “they are gonna take a (fill in the position) because this is the spot in the draft where you take that position. EVERY analysis I’ve ever heard juxtapose the the teams needs vs who is available.

For example Barkley was the second player taken in the draft this year. Is RB really that important or did the giants think he was a generational talent?

The answer is obvious.

Goal post wasn’t moved. I said I was wrong. That’s not moving the goal post.

Bullshit!

You’ve been arguing this point for MONTHS. You are NOW changing your position.

A “mistake” is “I meant to say one thing but I inadvertently said another”. You are now SUBSTANTIVELY changing your position after MONTHS of maintaining it.

That’s NOT a “mistake”.

Go look at the thread. First page. Almost everyone has Center near the bottom. We can say and position is important but as compared to other positions on a team Center is in the bottom 3rd.

still.

Nose tackles too

Also, pass rushers > qb's more of them get drafted higher

I never said that or insinuated that. You made it up. Just because QBs and DEs get drafted high I never once said the more picks from one position in the first means it’s the most important position. You made that up on your own.
