How far away is Carolina becoming a super bowl contender again?

After the 2015 season championship run they had but failed to beat Denver in the super bowl Peyton and their D was too much it seems like Carolina has fallen apart do you think they will bounce back in a few years? And does Cam Newton still have a few more solid years left in him? Does the defense need a huge overhaul to compete?

There's no dominant team in the NFC and Carolina has as good a shot as anyone other than Philly or LA and even those 2 aren't vastly superior to the next 8 or 9 teams in the conference . Should be a fun year

Uh, someone who watches the games and actually follows the team? The Panthers have one of the best defensive lines in the NFC with Short, Poe, and McCoy, the best MLB in the game in Kuechly, a young up and coming secondary, revamped offensive line, young and promising wideouts, a top 5 back in CMC, and one of the best playmakers in the game at QB. The team is built to win. Only team standing in their way is New Orleans and with a weak NFC they're primed to compete for at least a wild card spot.

I think it really depends on Cam with them. If he has a good season, they're in the hunt. If not, I don't think the rest of the team is good enough to carry him.
