And, no, MSU doesn't get that excuse because they weren't a play or win away from the natty at the end of the season. You B1G fans really suck at trolling. Alabama wasn't playing for a natty at the end of the season in 2010. They were out of the conversation. Ironically, there were pundits that still knew they were the best team in the nation. We faced 6 opponents with bye weeks before us that season. And yet, even against an Alabama team with 3 losses, MSU managed to muster up negative 48 yards on 28 rushes.
