Agreed about Wan. The direction was top notch. As to Annabelle, apparently HBO NOW has already dropped it. To make matters a little more annoying, apparently Netflix has dropped their "Horror" category altogether.

Seems that horror movies are spread out into two categories: Dark Movies and Really Dark Movies, or some shit like that.

Wtf is up with that?
Netflix likes to alternate their categories. You'll see Horror reappear at some point.

Truth is stranger than fiction. I have met people who knew him. I knew a lady he babysitted when she was a child. I also knew one of the prison guards who worked at the Waupun State Prison when they received him prior to him getting shipped to the mental facility. I remembered hearing stories about all of this when I was a young kid growing up. Many of famous horror stories where based upon him. The town was about an hour from where I live. @FaCe-LeE-uS
That is incredibly creepy. I can't imagine what it would be like to be that lady and be able to say that man babysat her.

Watched Trick 'r' Treat. Fun lighthearted affair.

Also caught Triangle. Similar to Mine Games, if you've seen either one you'll know what I mean.

Home Movie - Another found footage type film. Dad who must have been annoying the way he wanted to film everything all the time and some creepy kids.

Wendigo - Wasn't my cup of tea, but what can you do.

Lake Mungo - Kind of a documentary style, I never really got into it.

The Dead - If you like zombie movies check it out. Had a different setting from most and it looked good, but it just felt very boring. Probably the lack of dialogue throughout.

Terror Train and the original Prom Night - Kind of felt like I was watching the same movie back to back. Same year, same Jaime Lee Curtis, and same essential plot.

Creep (2004) - Ughh, watching a movie with a lead that you just want to see die through the entire movie with no other decent characters (which happens when there's only like 4 in the whole movie).
The unknown shows some nice feats of strength, but then when he's seen is emaciated looking as all hell and can be easily pummeled. Very annoying.

Finally watching Mad Max: Fury Road, which is as crazy as I expected; it is also beautifully photographed and well directed. Hardy steps right in for ol' Mel in the title role. Charlize Theron is hotter than ever as a post apocalyptic punk.

After that: Kill Theory

Btw @FaCe-LeE-uS - Have you ever reviewed Kill Theory? I thought it had many faults, but I pretty much enjoyed the hell out of it.

Don't think I have ever seen it?

Oh, you've gotta check it out. HBO NOW has it, but it might be on Netflix too. Slasher flick that went direct to video, not the greatest acting in the world, but it ended up being pretty good. Maybe on my next day off, I'll review it.

He does a great job shooting those films. That nun character was really creepy.
That is going to be my Halloween costume this year! Can't wait!

Watching my Vikes' passing game can be a horror in its own right. ;)
