Halloween Kills was alright. Maybe could’ve been really great had Rudd came back. Anthony Michael Hall just can’t be taken seriously in a franchise.

Your complaint was that you couldn't take the movie seriously...but then you wanted Paul Rudd to come back?

Also, don't you think it would be confusing to have Rudd reprise a role from a movie that doesn't exist in continuity?

I didn’t say I couldn’t take the movie seriously, I can’t take Anthony Michael Hall seriously.

True it doesn’t count Rudd’s role but he is the one known for that role. No idea if the kid was still alive but could’ve brought him back instead of AMH.

Watched Halloween Kills last night. I wasn’t too impressed with this. A lot of stupid character decisions and as a result, was glad that a lot of them died.

A unique horror movie.....Antlers.

This looks great! Looks like it released last week and the ratings so far are pretty good. We need more Wendigo like movies which I'm assuming this is going. Ridiculous the best Wendigo movie is still Until Dawn on PS4 LOL.

And I'll always watch Keri Russell's fine ass run around.

That's fair. I have no idea what happened to the original Tommy.

I was glad they brought back the original Dr. Loomis assistant.

Yeah I watched it last night and it flat out sucked. They should have killed off Activea lady , once she wasn't hot anymore. Michael Myers and his posse should have killed more than just teenagers, writers, producers, directors and even John Carpenter

I would’ve liked it a lot more if Michael did show up in the hospital and slaughtered everyone in the stairwell that thought the shorter, chubby guy was him.

Mikey was at least intimidating looking in the Rob Zombie ones, this one was an equal to Jamie Lee, just taller. Even with the mask and kitchen knife, I would have told him to go home and get his fu$%^ing shinebox!!

The original The Omen still holds up in my opinion. I love The Exorcist but there are a bunch of times you're taken out of it by the effects or just being so old. Don't get that as much from The Omen.

That is kinda the point. "The Shape" (Michael) was originally supposed to be an unknown and non-descript entity that exists in the darkness. He isn't supposed to be a hulking Jason Vorhees.
Now all of this was convoluted with the many sequels and timelines, which leads the average viewer to not really comprehend the story and original purpose. The whole point of the new movies is to return to the original concept as being written by John Carpenter, Danny McBride (surprisingly), and their team.

Admittedly the hulking Tyler Mayne was one of the very few things I liked about the shitty abortions of RZ Halloween movies (fuck you Rob!) but at no point was Michael ever supposed to be a giant, intimidating monster. It is actually the antithesis of the character.

I disliked Halloween 2019 so much I've never had any interest in a sequel. That movie was terrible.
I struggle so much with these movies… I want so badly to like them. They nail the atmosphere, Michael, linking the story & pay a lot of homage to the original… and yet they completely ignore logical decision making & just gloss over pivotal plot progression points.

I was very critical of the 2019 movie… so much so that I felt guilty of setting too high of standards for it. I am trying really hard not to do the same for Halloween Kills, but it is very difficult. I went into it with lower expectations & I think I enjoyed it more (still digesting), but again it was difficult to ignore some of the forced plot threads in it that just werent necessary at all. I loved how they mainly just let Michael be Michael though. The mob scene at the end was just stupid though.
