Now I'm offended...

Focus group leader... "At which point in the post were you most offended?"

So you're telling me Taco Bell doesn't have a pro gay agenda? Just look at this ad - at least they are being anti-AIDS.

BTW, for those people who are outraged by the fact that this company donated to a group who opposes gay marriage, would you like me to list the corporations that donate money to Mitt Romney, or any number of like 75 senators and 300 congressmen?

Turn off your comcast, verizon, directv, t mobile, at&t stuff.

Quit eating anything made by general mills, kraft/nabisco, kelloggs etc.....

I am amused at the outrage really. People are so ignorant as to what they support with their dollars, but something like this outrages them.

lol, this touches on that...

A little off-topic, but that Gene Wilder meme has to be one of the most widely used memes on the interweb.

Yeah, and is completely irrelevant b/c (1) I'm not a voter in those countries and can't exhibit no influence on their policies, (2) most people have to buy gas to get to work so they can live, and (3) it's not as easy as making a simple choice to go to a different restaurant.

Because you don't stand for an issue on EVERY single instance doesn't make you ignorant or stupid, it makes you practical. You can't solve all the problems of the entire world all at once. And while I think the way gays and women are treated in parts of the Middle East is awful, they are sovereign nations. And frankly, I see a lot more small, hybrid, and electric cars in the gay neighborhoods than I do in the straight ones, so I would argue the crowd opposed to Chick-Fil-A's stance DOES tend to be more socially concious with their purchases.

Again, you guys are trying to make this about an absolute stance across the board on everything in life. That's fucking naive.

I hear ya but I think it still makes a good point about people only caring to a point (when it's convenient for them to do so). I hear ya though.

Here's my two cents.

First, the idea of marriage is silly to me... I am married by the way, all to make my love happy. I do not need a ring or some stranger telling me stories about how equal we are to tell me that I love some one and are committed to that person... I know I am...

Secondly, and a bit of a stretch perhaps... for an example, I am not for a governmental nuclear arms race (in theory could end life); and two men mating or two women mating could also end life... can't make babies.

Hey listen, I have plenty of gay friends, been to gay weddings, have a transgender family member... I really do not give a crap what YOU do, just don't hurt anyone... but for some reason, even with my view on marriage, I still have a hard time thinking the government should promote something that in theory could end life... weird I know, but normal is the one thing I have never been called in my life...

No, I am saying that your value judgements are il-informed and based on convenience alone.

It is easy to boycott chick FIL a.

People have the right to boycott the place. I am just saying they are idiots with no ACTUAL social conciensce.

Fair enough, sir. My point is simply that if people are getting engaged and doing X, we shouldn't pummel them for not doing Y and Z also. Doing X is at least something, whether you agree with it or not. There is always going to be some hypocrisy, bigotry, apathy, etc. on BOTH sides of a debate.

So, you're not pro-ANY kind of marriage, but do you really think it kills people? ;)

I am sure some of them are. But that is a broad overgeneralization. It's like saying civil rights leaders in the 60s opposed segregated buses... but they still rode them!! Hyprocrites!!
