can't say I disagree, you have to use the time outs to stop the other team's momentum, still, who wasn't just saying Boom on that Woodbury throwdown to start the game? It was way closer than it should have been but it is nice to come home with a win at Illinois, yet another place that has tormented us for a long time.

Also looking at the schedule, HUGE week coming up. Ohio State at CHA on Tuesday then host Michigan next Saturday...win both and that is a major statement in the league. We should be able to do that, push us to 8-3 by next Sat night and that might just lock us up for a 6 seed or better IMO

If we win the next two and play normal the rest of the way we'll be dealing with a much better seed than 6....more like 3/4....if we can go 13-5 in the conference and make it to at least the semis in the B1G tourney that's a lock 4 seed or better

oh I wouldn't disagree with that at all, but I think if we can get no lower than 3rd in B10 reg season play that at least locks us at a 6 is what I am saying...the sky is really the limit here if we play well in the 2nd half of conf play

A 3rd place finish in the regular season...followed by a semi-final appearance in the conference tournament probably locks Iowa into a #4-#5 seed. A runner-up finish in the tournament might push Iowa into a #3-#4 seed. It will all depend on when Iowa loses.

I could see Iowa going 8-1 the rest of the way. That game at MSU will be tough. I would expect MSU to be back at full strength for that game.

At Indiana might also be a tough game - but very winnable.

Michigan and Wisconsin are the payback games. Ohio St, Minnesota, and Illinois are all games to reinforce to these programs that we are better this year.

First-things-first: the task of thumping Ohio St at Carver!!!!

tosu comes to IC tomorrow. Brutus may have turned things around in their win @ Wiscy? Iowa needs to put the hammer down and not let osu get things going. osu still a dangerous team imo.

This is turning into a joke of a performance - again - tonight.

1) Front line for OSU is in deep foul trouble and Iowa isn't pounding the ball inside
2) Can't make wide open 3-pt shots
3) Far too many turnovers
4) Veteran - experienced - players go away and hide on the floor when they need to step up and take over.
5) Word is out again - get physical against Iowa's players and you can win.

Unless something changes in the next 5:06 of game clock this will be another game given away.

I don't see us getting into the top 10 either. I'm going to say we'll be 14th or 15th. For the record, I really don't give a hoot about this ranking. I know it factors into seeding, but other metrics have more impact.

Do we really have to wait till saturday for the next game?

I agree with Rmilia and Wings here Jerms. The loss to OSU keeps Iowa about where they currently are. Iowa probably jumps Texas...and Creighton lands right in front of Iowa...wouldn't surprise me at all.

On a positive side, if the same Iowa teams shows up that destroyed Michigan, Iowa is primed to win out their regular season slate of games. The toughest games remaining for Iowa would be @ Indiana and @ Michigan St.

I feel that the following games should all be wins: @ PSU, Wisconsin, @ Minnesota, Purdue, and Illinois.

First up: @ PSU and taking care of that game early and decisively!!!

I'm hoping that PSU and Purdue take their games against Indiana up-and-down the floor....plus playing a bunch of OT!! Indiana's game against Iowa will be their 3rd game in 6 days. Iowa can run-'em-ragged on the way to a road victory.
