I don't think all 9 of the 60-day guys will be back this season.

I read a few days ago that Coleman probably isn't coming back.

Burke and Pruitt can simply be released.

I think Scherzer will go back to the 60-day at some point, if he ever comes off of it.

I am worried that Bradford may not make it back this year as well.

Besides Burke and Pruitt, there are some other obvious DFA candidates. They include, Hernandez, Yerry, and both Andersons. They won't get rid of all 6 of these guys, but they might get rid of 4 of them, at least.

I think Winn ans White are both trade candidates whether we are sellers or buyers.

Otnelas should a trade candidate or DFAed as well.

There is also a possibility that by the time all the current 60-day DL guys return, that we could have someone else replace them on the 60-day.

We all know Grossman should be gone so he has to be considered a possible casualty in the 40 man crunch.

Dustin Harris could be another trade piece whether we are buyers or sellers. The same could be said for Wendzel.

If Derek Hill produces he is fine, but if he does not he could be a 40-man casualty.

So, there are lots of possibilities. i thinlk 4 of the relievers and 3 of the 5 trade candidates are strong possibilities. That leaves 2 of the 9 spots Jeff Wilson mentioned. Most likely, either Hill or Grossman is an 8th. That leaves 1 of the 9, and I think that will he taken care of by someone going to the 60-day, or either Scherzer, Coleman or Bradford remaining on the 60-day.
This season is not looking good. We have quite a few problems that look like will not be resolved this season. Perhaps Scherzer and maybe Bradford. We cant even foresee the future this year with Mahle or our big money pitcher Degrom. Hard to say after TJ surgery
Too many ifs and buts.
I think your right trades should be entertained and with players who can make an impact or have upside. There are many possibilities to get creative

Maybe we will be sellers at the deadline and finish the season, letting guys like Carter, Langford, and Foscue play almost every day. That could bode well for 2025 and beyond. That would be better than winning 85 games or so while still platooning Carter while Grossman plays.

There was a point last June when the Rangers started going through a change from playing great to struggling. Since then they have gone 74-77. That doesn't include their postseason run. That is a very long period to be under .500, unless that is who they are.
Now we have gone 74-79 since that day last June. That is almost a full season's worth of games.

A lot of injuries. Not easy to repeat. The repeat rate is 14%. Just need to get into playoffs. Record doesn’t matter although usually a good indicator of how good a team is.
Mariners won 116 games one year and never made it to the World Series.

Why would they pinch hit Robbie for Carter when behind like that? It’s not like they had DRob coming in

We are going to have to win the division, most likely. That could get away from us in a hurry if we continue to play just below a .500 level. If not for that 40-20 record to begin last year, we would not have snuck into the playoffs last year. I am not sure this club has a 40-20 stretch in them.

Because he is Bruce Bochy. That's all I can tell you.

At 24-27, we are now 2 games behind our 2014 pace. Ouch!

85 might win this division. Let’s say we are sellers who would you be interested in moving?
Tavares and Lowe come to mind for me to start

I think I would gave to see how everyone progresses. If Carter and Langford are fine then Taveras would be on the market. Then I would concentrate on the guys whose contracts are up at the end of the year. We've got a ways to go though.
