NO. I'm from Oklahoma but have lived in FL for 12 years. Never heard of boiled peanuts til I moved here. They are the slimiest, nastiest looking peanuts and would probably puke if made to eat them.

don't knock it until you tried it. They're not slimy at all. If you get a slimy one, DON'T EAT IT! Something ain't right with it. And to me, they look like any other peanut.

You should try them. You might be surprised.

They don't sell these in grocery stores up there?

They be purty good. Not as good as homemade, but they'll pass in a pinch. The same company sets up little stands that cook them fresh everyday in gas stations and grocery stores en sech. They are even better.

I live like 100 yds from a gas station that has one of those set ups going on. Tis awesome.

When I lived in Georgia there were stands all over the place. I like the cajun flavored ones the most.
