Michael Bennett is requesting a trade from the Seahawks. That has to have Hardy's agent smiling

Wants elite money according to Fish. Stephen probably will let him shop around and give him an offer to match. Smart move...dude has too much baggage now to ask for the farm. Will he be available for 10 games in 2015??

Greg Hardy just left Valley Ranch with no deal.

We know you left this out on purpose. Your not fooling anyone.

"While he left late afternoon without a deal in place, it appears negotiations could start in the evening with the possibility of a deal getting struck as early as Wednesday.

Hardy is scheduled to remain in the Dallas area until Wednesday with a possible revisit in the morning, which could involve a physical if the negotiations get that far.

Now teams such as Tampa Bay and Seattle were also reportedly linked to Hardy as well, although no official visits were lined up as of Tuesday evening. Hardy could be leaving Dallas and flying straight to Seattle if a deal isn’t reached with the Cowboys"

Not really, they could sign both imo to cap friendly deals by initiating auto triggers in Romo's contract and restructuring his deal. They could also accelerate Carr's salary and cap reduction to accommodate cap room. Hardy and Rosenhaus is just trying to fleece teams now because they know there's a lot of interest there. I'm glad Stephen was smart enough to let him walk and not reach or become desperate. I think Lawrence will be much better this season also with a full camp under his belt, and this team does not have to reach now for a player that might miss 6 games and has a lot of baggage. I would only offer him a 1 to 3 year deal with performance incentives and behavior clauses to recoup any guaranteed money, and if wanted more let him test the market. Too many questions marks about him now to reach. This team is a win now mode, not a cap coddle mode imo. Lot of their FAs were let go to go after guys like Hardy and AP (IMO). I do prefer AP as the team's tone and table setter, yes.

A lot of reports out there. Haven't seen any dollars

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Dallas is the "undisputed favorite" for free agent Greg Hardy.

Schefter says to "forget about Seattle and Tampa Bay being involved." For their part, the Cowboys say Hardy spent "most of the day" at team facilities on Tuesday, and that a deal could be struck as early as Wednesday. Hardy is having dinner with Cowboys coaches on Tuesday evening, and will stay overnight in Dallas.

Disagree, because I don't think AP is an option for the Cowboys no matter what happens.

I am with you here. I am not so into Hardy because of the character situation and AP sits the same if not more than a "creep" for his character issues than Hardy. But having said that, I just don't get the AP hype. Good, well yes damn good a year or so ago. Injury prone, yes big time. Age is a big factor as well as the amount of touches he received over career.

I am not happy that Murray is gone but I am not into "an aging RB" for an answer to this question. It is a quandary for me as I don't care about spending a high draft choice for a RB with the D line issues we have and that I would much rather have most of our draft focus on that including all the high ones.

You are right with Hardy and that's why he is still out there and a possibility in the first place with our cap issues.

I wouldn't compare him and AP. Both did something despicable. AP doesn't seem to care and is acting as if he was the one who was wronged, that is why he comes off like an entitled piece of shit that thinks he can do what he wants. He is mad at the Vikings over the situation. Like someone said the other day, did they beat his kid to a bloody mess???

Just found this article. If we still had Wade and crew I'd be a little uneasy about this. My only concern with the new regime is away from the filed stuff, possible suspension to start the year and if we give him a huge long term deal with no "out" clause. My gut says we aren't doing that and At this point I wonder if a Melton type deal, that can basically be a one year deal if we don't want to keep him is in the works and I think a deal like that would be a great deal even if it comes at a big year one salary.

He was on the list and missed every game but one last year. How does it work that he gets suspended when he comes back? This thing with Hardy a bit different because there is no proof of what he did. Correct? It's still a she said she said.

Fish from the fan was just on. He absolutely agrees with me about Hardy and AP. This team can not only afford them both, but can sign other players as well by just moving around some salaries. He also believes (as I do), that securing AP automatically makes this team NFC favs to reach the SB, and that "he would give up a 1st round pick for AP in a heartbeat"....those were his exact words.

:suds:

Now, who do I side with on this?...a bunch of messageboard wannabe GM hacks, or an Emmy award winning reporter?

You decide.
