Earl "the pearl" Monroe was also good with the basketball. Nevertheless the big "O"was the best "all-around basketball player", I have seen in my lifetime. JMHO.Saw him with Nets(ABA) in Detroit, and people were on their feet every time he had ball.
Jordan stole his act-lol
Once and for all, no doubt it's "His Airness" Michael Jordan!
And you must be only 30/40 years old.Once and for all, no doubt it's "His Airness" Michael Jordan!
Well IMO, I think NBA Championships are important, but they are just part of being the best basketball player that ever played the game. If anyone had the chance to watch pro basketball since the late 50's, they would be more objective on who the greatest pro basketball player is/was. How can a 20/30/40 year old fan, say that Jordan, Lebron or Kobe were/are the best when they didn't get the chance to watch some of the greats, from the 50's, 60's or 70's?One reason that this is interesting to debate is that no one is really consistent.
MJ is better than Lebron because he is 6-0 in the NBA Finals. (and Lebron is only 3-5)
But Bill Russell won 11 NBA Championships (I think 11-0 in the Finals) -- but he is still not on the same level as MJ.
(just ignore stupid people who bring up someone like Robert Horry -- that is just dumb)
If you weren't around for Magic, Big "O" or Wilt, how can you call Jordan the "Greatest of ALL time"? Maybe Jordan was the best player that you ever seen.I wasn't around for Magic or Wilt, but I was for Jordan. And at the time I was a fan of the Orlando Magic and could not stand Jordan.
Jordan is the Greatest of all time.
Jabbar's stats are superior to Jordan's.
Some people say Tom Brady is better then Joe Montana, even though cool Joe is 4-0 in the super bowl. So which is it? Undefeated in the biggest game, or overall stats? One reason that this is interesting to debate is that no one is really consistent.

Duncan needs to be up there somewhere as dog Shaq. More FMVP and titles than Lebron.
Lebron/Kobe is arguable right now. Lebron has better regular season accolades but Kobe is 5-2 in NBA finals while Lebron is 3-5. AND played in a much tougher conference his entire career. No contest.
