Pete would do the same as he did with RW, which is to lean on the run , limit pass attempts ( RW only had 393 attempted passes in 16 games), have safer easier throws if it was Richardson, Levis is much more developed I feel.

Pete did sign Matt Flynn but he played one season for the Seahawks. RW was a 3rd round pick, so of course Pete hedged his bet, 3 QBs went top 10 and the Seahawks didn't pick until pick 12 so they traded down. Could be if 3 QBs go ahead of pick 5 the Seahawks trade down again, but think they will just draft which ever is left of Carter or Anderson. It would take a trade into the top 4 from some team like the Panthers for that to happen and given the cost I don't feel it will happen, especially since none of them have the hype of a sure thing, but you never know I guess.Remember that Pete spent good money on finding a new QB in 2012. That Russ showed he could be a starter as a rookie was as much a shock to Pete as the rest of us. Which is why, even if we draft a QB early, I still expect Pete to sign a QB that he thinks can get them to the playoffs.
Levis isnt a day 1 starter, but Richardson completed less than 40% of downfield passes, thats insanely bad and the fact he is being hyped up as a top 10 pick is ridiculous.Pete would do the same as he did with RW, which is to lean on the run , limit pass attempts ( RW only had 393 attempted passes in 16 games), have safer easier throws if it was Richardson, Levis is much more developed I feel.
Flynn playing one season is a bit misleading... If you meant, attempted 9 passes during the season then, yes...Pete did sign Matt Flynn but he played one season for the Seahawks. Richardson reminds me too much of Malik Willis... I don't want a QB who's best asset is running the ball...Levis isnt a day 1 starter, but Richardson completed less than 40% of downfield passes, thats insanely bad and the fact he is being hyped up as a top 10 pick is ridiculous.
Wilson lasted until round 3 because he was so short. Seahawks were openly mocked for the pick as the media considered it a total waste of a pick because of his height.Levis isnt a day 1 starter, but Richardson completed less than 40% of downfield passes, thats insanely bad and the fact he is being hyped up as a top 10 pick is ridiculous.
Wilson was on a completely different level than either of them.
Richardson is a project. Doesn't have the experience needed or the coaching but he's got the arm and legs. His landing spot will be crucial for his career, he needs to land on a team with strong coaching and some good players around him so he can develop. If he lands on a team with poor talent and bad coaching he'll be a bust. Packers for example would be a nice spot for him, but it's unlikely he lands there.I have no interest in Richardson

I'm not opposed to this scenerio only if we draft a QB after our #5 overall pick and possibly after the 1st round all together... I'd want those given to defense, OL and or a possible WR with our #20.....
I'd be ok signing Lock (I'm record for being in that corner already if the price tag for Geno gets too high) and have a rookie sit a year or two... If Lock panned out and showed he could be a very QB on this team, then it would be a win/win because we'd have a backup QB for at least 4 years with the rookie and could also use him for trade bait as well..
I just want the focus to be on ensuring our defense gets fixed because we've seen how well this team does when our defense is very competitive under Pete Carroll...
Exactly, if he was 6'1 he arguably goes #2, before griffin. Levis doesnt stack up at all.Wilson lasted until round 3 because he was so short. Seahawks were openly mocked for the pick as the media considered it a total waste of a pick because of his height.
Further than Richardson, yes. Day 1 starter? I dont care that he had a couple former nfl coordinators coaching him, he's not day 1 starter material. Here's what The Athletic scouting report on Levis:
Levis, a transfer from Penn State, showed off improved mechanics and the ability to operate in a pro-style offense in his first year starting at Kentucky. Offensive coordinator Liam Coen, now in the same role with the Rams, utilized a large swath of concepts that had Levis operate from under center, including traditional play-action looks that asked Levis to turn his back to the defense before pushing the ball downfield.
Levis has a very quick and easy motion, and the ball absolute flies off of his hand. He can drive the ball on intermediate throws and shows some comfort operating on deeper dropback concepts on third down. His decision making and ability to progress through reads improved throughout the 2021 season as he started to better understand the timing on these plays.
Levis is much further along than Richardson IMO.
I feel weird agreeing with so much latelyExactly, if he was 6'1 he arguably goes #2, before griffin. Levis doesnt stack up at all.

Young and stroud are the only ones id feel comfortable starting day 1 and they both have huge question marks of their own.
I still hold to the idea next years class will blow this year away. We should wait and build capital.
Gives him a bit more leverage now with the Hawks... Canales is now calling the plays in Tampa... Geno is also from Florida...Our QB coach is now OC in tampa, maybe a landing spot for geno?

That expected completion percentage stat is an interesting one. Part of it, I have to think, is having Tyler Lockett as one of your receivers. But it also shows that Geno was pretty accurate.
Yeah, I didn't include all qualifying players - partially due to not wanting to skew the ranking with guys who only had 5 starts or something. So, among the 17 3000 yard QBs he was 10th. Not bad at all. He's like 19th out of 40 QBs with 140 attempts. Either way - he's pretty solidly in the middle. Not bad.
