I just hope they spend some time thinking before overacting, some good young pieces waiting in Warren, I mean GR....

Wings have some really great looking wingers in GR, I'm not sold on our talent on D and up the middle yet. Luckily with Dats and Z we have a few years to worry about center. I would be fine with Holland throwing down on some big contracts for guys like Suter or Parise, and if he could line up a blue chip defenseman I would have no problem with him pulling the trigger on a trade. Problem is, how many teams in the league are looking to trade a top end defenseman in his twenties?

Agreed on the centers, desparately need a big mean fucking winger or two, what's your take on Brenden Smith? I'd like to see that kid get up here, and not very popular but I really think Big-E will step up more. Fuck Stuart let him go and yes if they can get Suter. Work the hell out of Kindl in the off season, I think will be solid. If not be prepared at the trade deadline to pull the trigger.

I think there's a lot of teams that are getting a shake up this offseason. Gonna be a busy one.

Pix - I haven't seen many Pens regular season games, but WTF was up with MAF in the series?
did that come completely out of the blue?

MAF and Bryz weren't good this series, but the fact that will somehow be forgotten was how deadly our PP was 52% was the final(was as high as 65% at one point). MAF couldn't deal with the traffic.

Someone the Wings might want to consider, especially if Lidstrom is close to retirement, is Paul Martin. Real up-and-comer, bargain price.

Ah, well it sounds like you need an experienced vet to stabilize your blueline. Maybe we offer you Jonathan Ericsson in return?

If Lidstrom retires the Wings will need a PP quarterback.

Sergei Gonchar for Calle Jarnkrok and we'll even take Ericsson off of your hands.

He was bad, don't get me wrong, but he had good stuff hidden in there. I'm not too incredibly worried about him honestly. As bandit mentions, most of the Flyers output came from the powerplay. The Pens both gave up too many PP opportunities and were just plain terrible at killing them. A lot of the blame lies on team D issues, but when team D failed MAF wasn't there to bail them out like he did most of the regular season. His biggest issue was soft goals, and he let one bad goal dictate his play the rest of the night. Very pre-2008 MAF.

MAF is a good goalie... He just isn't elite like many Pens fans try to argue. His inconsistencies get the best of him.

Kane is damn good... Just seems to not care almost after winning the Cup. Not as much heart? I dunno, don't watch enough Blackhawks games.

He seemed like he was going through the motions a bit this year for sure.

He still loves to make the pretty play but he just doesn't get his nose dirty at all anymore, IMO.
