Jesus Christ. Is any call that doesn't involve Smith "throwing it down the field" a horrendous play call? When the fuck has Smith proved to be able to drive the ball down the field on a consistent basis?

Well, when you make the defense only have to cover 10 yards of the field, then those running plays or ridiculous dump offs have no value. They got Edwards, Morgan, crabtree, Davis and Walker but it seems like they have no clue how to get the ball to them.

I have to say, I'm not seeing anything at all on offense that shows any innovation or astute play calling. I'm underwhelmed with Harbaugh so far. Looks like the same offense they had last year.

I guess Roman wasn't just posturing when he said that the offense wouldn't look that flashy yet. That it might even resemble the simplicity of the last few years.

It takes time, just listening to the Colts guys gripe about Collins saying he'd be ready; Dallas Clark was saying it took him 3 years to learn the offense. Which sounds about right for any sort of complex offense in the NFL.

I didn't see that. Davis had a much better shot at that ball than the defender.
