Jesus Christ. Is any call that doesn't involve Smith "throwing it down the field" a horrendous play call? When the fuck has Smith proved to be able to drive the ball down the field on a consistent basis?

True but you still can't call plays that have low chances of conversion.

I mean if we expect to win games we're going to have to put it on Smith here eventually and if you can't trust Smith to do it than you have to go with CK or somebody else.

I have to say, I'm not seeing anything at all on offense that shows any innovation or astute play calling. I'm underwhelmed with Harbaugh so far. Looks like the same offense they had last year.

That's ludicrous. Our formations alone have blown last year's offense out of the water.

But you're right, any play that doesn't involve Alex Smith throwing downfield is obviously a bad call.
