What they are doing with Belt is SORELY testing my general rule regarding the managers (Bochy and Sabean) knowing way way more than I do. They do, there's no doubt...but the Belt situation is the closest thing I have to evidence against.

Is that a nice way of saying that they have lost plot with regards the line up this year - if so +1

Belt would have to be put in the lineup to provide a spark.

Getting pounded by the Astros is the low point of the season for me. Hopefully, everything will be better starting tomorrow. It can't get any worse.

I've said that at least four or five times this year...the first time when Posey went down...and the Giants keep surprising me in ways to kick my ass...

Agreed....it seems like the AB's usually go...

First pitch - Strike 1
Second pitch - pitch out of the strike zone either fouled off or swung/missed
Third pitch - strikeout or weak pop fly or grounder to the second baseman....

I don't know if I've ever seen so many quick outs and weakly hit balls in play by a team over a season. Add to that this team's maddening trend of making superquick outs in the inning right after a Giants pitcher struggles a bit and it is so frustrating to watch...
