As a Bruins fan I am ok with this suspension. I think maybe too many but ok.

Some of the shit that has happened is much worse with less penalty.

i think the point where he makes about 16 seconds earlier of the play Salo had the exact same spot to hit him and just bumped him and Marchand responded by punching him in the back of the head then they circled and he did what he did.

5 games is perfect after seeing that explanation.

I'd never put my hockey knowledge up against Shanny's. However, he still makes questionable decisions on suspensions and just because he played, doesn't mean he makes the correct call every time.

I'd blame the ridiculous inconsistencies over the years more than any particular fanbase's thoughts of supreme hockey knowledge.

I was hoping for five games and I am pleasantly surprised. In my opinion, it sends a pretty strong message that these types of hits need to be eliminated from the game.
