Marchand gets 4 for Salo hit. A bit higher than I would have thought, and if you are trusting anything 4706 posts regarding this topic now you are stupid

The hatred that these 2 teams and its fan bases carry might be enough to carry them both back to the Final...

NHL would be scared shitless but as happy as punch for that rematch.

I hate to do this to Bryz, because I do really think he's a talented goalie. That said, maybe he was more of a "system" goalie (or in Anaheim's case, the talent surrounding him). Mike Smith is looking pretty damn good as well. Bryz was still more impressive as a Coyote than Mike Smith, but you get the idea. Also, when Bryz had a couple nice runs in Anaheim, he also had two HOF defensemen who could each play 25 - 30 minutes a night.

Bryzgalov's best run was pre-Pronger. He's having a bad start to the year, but that doesn't invalidate what he accomplished in the other seasons. Goalie statistics fluctuate more than typical player's statistics from year-to-year. Roberto Luongo is the closest thing we have to a consistent goaltender (top ten in SPCT in all but two seasons since his sophomore year) since the days of Roy and Hasek.

Marchand heard the phone call and then dove through the coffee table to avoid it.

Well the coffe table can sometimes make a very nice (albiet humble) burrow(s).

Thanks for the correction Q. I guess my memory isn't as sharp as I think it is, lol. I just (think I) remember Pronger vouching for him to the Philly Brass.

Like I said though, I do think he's a talented goalie. I'm not writing him off just yet, that would be foolish. I agree that it's definitely going to take more than 4 bad months to invalidate his career.
