....and the Pats played far less than a perfect game. For the most part, what looks good is good and what looks bad seems fixable though the OL and running game (probably 78% or so related) might be a bit more.

The two are for sure related, and the Bucs D-Line is damn good. I would like to see the O line improve which I think it can, and fix the damn penalties.

And without stating it, you just narrowed the biggest problem.

Offensive Line

Pass blocking is horrendous and is forcing Mac to throw just a bit quick or if his WRs can't clear take a sack.

Run blocking is non existent. The RBs are running into the OL because they can't move the defenders back or out of position.
Ho many replays showed a Buc DL tossing a Patriot OL out of his way and making a tackle at or behind the line of scrimmage??

The offensive line is the biggest detriment to this team.

Wynn = Concrete feet, short arms. Cannot handle speed rushers
Owenue = takes his first step back and tries to hold his guy in place. That allows him to be pushed back on pass plays.
Andrews = Missed so many blocks that Karras replaced him.
Mason = Only guy who has been doing anything correct.
Brown = Missed 8 games in LV in 2020 and has missed 3 this year. All for a calf problem? Get rid of him if he can't play.
Herron = He's almost adequate but can't handle a bull rush. Pancaked on a critical 3rd down.

How do you fix this? If the ability isn't there, you can't. If the ability is there, then you have to find a way to get these guys to buck up. In all my years as a coach (not professional) the easiest way to motivate someone is to replace them with someone who's frothing at the mouth to play. Problem is that Cajuste and Durant are the only two guys left and they've sucked worst than the starters.

Trade deadline is Nov. 2 but that's only in desperation. There are free agents who would sign for the min. if offered and would certainly be better than Durant or Cajuste. Here are a couple that might be worth looking at: Russell Okung who plays both RT/LT. Ryan Pope. Or guards like Josh Garnett or Brian Winters. Dump a couple of duds and sign a couple of older guys. Might send a message.
