So McDermott wants to see if all other games fall in favor of the Pats making the Playoffs before he commits?
Back to back to back bye weeks heading into the playoffs. The league is okay with this?

Don't try this at home...I'm what you call a trained professional...

What is the world’s record for the longest time someone has held their breath underwater?

The current men’s world record holder is Stephane Mifsud of France with a time of 11 minutes and 35 seconds. The women’s world record is held by Natalia Molchanova of Russia with a static breath hold of just over nine minutes.

However, their hear is still circulating oxegenated lood to the brain.....

Pats - Bills may be postponed...

We’ll allow Sean and his team and his staff and the players, which are the most important things here, to guide us if we have to make that decision,

And Vincent who played for Buffalo, is considering how best to help Buffalo and screw the Patriots.

I trust no-one from the NY league office!!!!!

Copy that.
BK's question was how long can a person survive without oxygen.
CPR is still providing circulation. 2 person CPR should be providing oxygen as well.

Understood, but there was certainly time before they started CPR and CPR is only 30% effective.
The point is their are variables and variables of variebles. We never know for sure but we get damn nervous after 3-4 minutes!

His heart had stopped when he fell to the ground.
No oxygen, no blood flow.
Time lapse before people came on the field on examined him.
60-90 seconds from start before they realize gravity of the problem.
15-30 seconds to remove helmet, shirt and pads and start CPR.
Problem with artificial respiration is that the person is not receiving oxygen. AR is expnds the lungs and hopefully forces them to exhale and react and draw in air. Chest compression from CPR actually helps the lungs bring in air and exhale CO2.
Hamlin had CPR for nine minutes before they paddled him. I'v heard that he was charged twice and three times before the heart responded.

Everything is up to how Hamlin's body responds to this shock. The typical 24 year old kid who doesn't go to the gym or eat well would probably not hav responded to everything that was done to Hamlin. He is in exceptional physical condition. I wonder if he'll ever wake up and if he does, how much damage has been done to his brain? We're told that he's on a ventilator. Is he also on some type of heart/lung apparatus?

The final question: What actually caused the cardiac arrest?

Congenital heart condition? Blow to the chest?

The Bills practice on Wednesday was a non-contact walk through.

NFL Issue: Bills must practice Thursday and Friday or Friday and Saturday or they will not be 'prepared' to play Sunday at 1:00 PM

According to Troy Vincent, the league reserves the right to reschedule the game. Monday? The NCAA National Championship game i scheduled to kick off Monday night at 8:00. Hence, the only time that the NFL could schedule the game is at 4:00 PM in case it goes to OT. Playing the game on Tuesday would possibly put both teams playing Saturday in the Wildcard.

Interesting: Chiefs are 9.5 point favorites against the Raiders in Las Vegas Saturday Night. If the Chiefs win, they have the bye. If they lose, the Bills can get the bye with a win over the Patriots. If all of the scenarios occur can still get in::
  • A Dolphins loss to the Jets
  • A Steelers loss to the Browns
  • A Titans loss to the Jaguars
If the Chiefs wins, the Bills have no chance for the bye and could possibly sit starters. Problem is that a loss could put the in the #3 position for the playoffs.

Problem: The Bengals want to be given the win for this past Monday night because they could possibly be the #2 seed.

As much as Vincent wants to help the Bills, his ass is up against the wall making a decision about the Bengals. IF too much goes in favor of the Bills, there will be repercussions and a bunch of teams will be pissed off and Vincent could be out of a jiob.

1 Chiefs - Bye
2. Bengals / 7.Patriots
3. Bills / 6. Ravens
4. Chargers / 5. Jaguars

If you're the Bills or Bengals, who would you rather play? Ravens or Patriots?

Common misconception.
A defibrillator does not work if there isn't a pulse.
The electric shock does not start the heart. AED's will analyze the rhythm and the algorithms will decide if applying a shock can straighten out the electrical pulse that is controlling the heart beat.
He may in fact had some blood flow. Maybe not though.
But, there have been people that received CPR longer without an AED and were fine when they came around.
Hopefully Hamlin is this fortunate.

The blow to the chest is what is being told. A tremendous blow to the chest at an absolute perfect time in the sinus rhythm in order to disrupt it.

Not even a one in a million shot, more like a one in ten million.

Thanks. Glad to know that someof us have more experience or knowledge about things like this.

Part of the problem right now is that people are reporting what they hear from people who have heard from people who know people.

Assuming you did not have a stopwatch on this and could not see through the circle of players and could also read through the trove of misinformation of reporters that also do not know anything, I'm going to feel safe you know nothing more than the rest of us.
Unless you stayed at Holiday Inn last night!

Common sense or covering their ass?

By the way.....

Mortensen's report later turned out to be false, and according to Mike Florio of Profootballtalk.com,
Mortensen got his false info from NFL executive vice president of football operations Troy Vincent. Florio noted that it's "unclear" whether Vincent "deliberately lied" to Mortensen, however, Vincent was the one who handed out the initial four-game suspension to Brady in May 2015, suggesting a conflict of interest behind NFL walls as it investigated Brady.[15][16]

Vincent played for Miami during Brady's 1st 3 Superbowls.
He played for Buffalo during his last 3 years _when the Patriots owned Buffalo.
No conflict of interst there!
